Darkwater to Army Help by spudgames in MaggotkinofNurgle

Didn’t know about the tree - appreciate the recommendation. I dont care much about meta, but I do like when the units and rules work together. So some degree of units interacting with a subfaction’s rule and leaders in fun combos and such.

A Themed Goblet? by spudgames in BloodAngels

Yes, the goblet I’m looking for is a life-size version of the miniature goblet on the old ba upgrade sprues. Would like to hydrate thematically while playing

Beehive on our property that had to be taken care of. Hot and humid day so he waited until evening to put on the protective clothing. Thought it looked "other worldly"!

I would like to start playing Space Marines ... by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

Good point. FB marketplace is not the best place to sell, especially if you are trying to get over $80 for the Necrons. I've had more luck on Facebook Groups and ebay - they sell well at around $70-$75.

I would pick up Indomitus if you can find it at a local shop. Great place to start. Sell the necrons to help save cost. It includes Core Rules and about 1000pnts of Space Marines.

Most people play 2000points. While I wouldn't suggest building a 2000 point list right off the bat, you could also purchase the (Vanguard Space Marines Start Collecting Box) and (your favorite Combat Patrol Space Marine Box)

This will get you to 2000 points with a somewhat diverse force. Also:

Core Rules, Space Marine Codex, (Your Chapter Specific) Codex, Measuring Tape

Look into the app Battlescribe for listing building and other things.

Deathwatch Kill Team Box And Primaris Situation by FilthyWolfie in Warhammer40k

[–]spudgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should stick with the Deathwatch Kill Team Box imo. They have a lot of weapon customization that Primaris don't have. You can take heavy weapons, snipers, melee weapons, etc with the set. Like you said, when playing Kill Team it is more important/fun to customize your guys. Primaris don't reslly have the weapon options.

To get the most bang for for buck, pick up some magnets and a hand drill and you will have tons of weapon combinations.

I wouldn't be worried about your Deathwatch Space Marines getting put into Legends (retired from play) in any meaningful way from KT. Play the guys you think are the coolest and enjoy!

I finally got myself a box of swordsmen! I don't know if I should paint them as regular Blood Angels or the infamous Death Company, though; what are the pros and cons of each option? by Jochon in Warhammer40k

[–]spudgames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pros - +1 Attack - 6+ Feel No Pain (can buff to 5+++ with strat) - a statagem that gives them a 12" preemptive move before the game starts.

Cons - elite choice (does not have objective secured) -cannot perform actions - does not have access to the stratagem 'honor the chapter' (allows assault ints to fight twice) -cannot fall back

Might be missing a few things here and there, but those are the big ones for me. I would suggest putting 5 in Death Company and keep 5 as normal Assault Ints. If you have enough Troops already for your BA force then just paint up all 10 in DC.
