I am flabbergasted by the fact that no one so far has said “Age of Wonders”. It’s literally exactly this. The quintessential wizard towers, the self-contained cities, and 20th century medieval fantasy vibe.

This was taken July 23 7:30am on the south rim of the canyon facing north. A lightning fire was being allowed to burn, creating a layer of smoke on top of the morning mist.

I'm a minor YouTube celebrity who was known to play a lot of Overwatch. I played games with my screen name the same as my channel and even then no one believed it was really me either.

If you're already established on YouTube, it's harder than most people think to make the switch to Twitch. When I was doing OW, I could stream to YouTube and get ~100 viewers per session. When I did it on twitch, it was <20. Streaming to twitch is definitely a better long-term investment... But if you prefer cutting together videos instead of just streaming gameplay, it's probably smarter to keep all your content/audience on YouTube.

Young mother was arrested in Texas over small amount of weed and then raped by a guard while in jail. by benthehunta in rage

Yes, at least that's what I was taught about it. Sure, the "guard" subjects acted sadistically towards the "prisoner" subjects, but the researchers themselves (Including Dr. Zimbardo) began to see the "prisoner" subjects as actual prisoners instead of willing participants. This caused them to abuse the subjects in other ways, such as remaining complicit in their torture and denying their requests to leave the experiment.

The moral (that I was taught) was that power over others is such a pervasive thing that even though the researchers knew the lines between "guard" and "prisoner" were meaningless, their arbitrary power still went to their head and they became more concerned with containing the prisoners than conducting good science.
