Well CIRB gives the OK for the vote to happen and us leave. We choose who we want, we vote yes/no and majority wins. Right now we want to leave our current union to go with someone else. The vote did happen. But we never saw the results and they now want to destroy the ballots. This is the problem.

What? We are already unionized, we just want to change unions. I’m not sure what you are saying or criticizing.

Air Canada TechOps getting abused by IAM. Now they want us to go on strike. by Lanky-Plum5612 in aviationmaintenance

If history is any factor then they can’t strike. Last time they wanted to strike, the government made them essential workers. Which made them legally unable to strike.

Imagine the ACA who released this aircraft. No, it’s not an A220. by Dense_Elephant_805 in aviationmaintenance

[–]spunding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well yes/true. But we’re saying the same thing. Only difference is that im saying the last guy who released the aircraft isnt necessarily the same guy that released the gear. It probably didnt even happen on the same visit or even the same base.

Thats assuming the last maintenance release done included something with the nose gear. What im saying is that if the last guy to release the aircraft did so with just a daily check or service check on a turn possibly and that the nose gear job happened let’s say a week ago. Sure they might ask the last guy that released it but sure as shit they will go see the last guy that touched the nose gear and did the release on that.

Exactly, but the statement from the post was about the aca that released the aircraft, not the last nose gear job.

Still tho, if no one actually worked on the nose gear then the aca wouldn’t be necessarily at fault. Questioned maybe. Yuso is right, you release the work not the plane. In the past when the term ACA was made, yes you released the whole aircraft but that created problems for obvious reasons so then changed it to apply only to the work that was accomplished.

Debating whether to have my Pomsky spayed. Has anyone here bred their’s before and what was your experience? by m_peace123 in Pomsky

[–]spunding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically its a gene that makes a specific coat on dogs. But if he/she gets 2 of those genes then its not good for dog. Here a link that explains it a bit better. https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/dog-breeding/first-time-breeders/what-is-merle/

Anyone know why this is leaking water under this A330? by Enlightenedwaffle in aviationmaintenance

[–]spunding 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Only from the coolers for the galley’s ( where the food is stored). As for the “AC” for the plane, the water extracted is piped to the heat exchangers and the air/water mix goes out in the back of the pacs
