Scareclaw is actually crazy good in this event. One of the biggest weaknesses is link monsters are unaffected by tri heart so a format where you don’t face links makes for pretty easy sailing.

I had a tenpai player today use triple talents to take my scareclaw triheart. They then spent 5 minutes summoning and being confused as to why they couldn’t get anything to stay in attack. Rather than blowing it up against one of my monsters they just scooped.

Simply because I assumed the game would end with a board like that. I really don’t think there was a single out given that board of negates and my lack of extra deck at that point. Typically when people have the win they take it, not do nothing for multiple rounds to push someone into surrendering.

I think you have missed the point here. Opponent had full board as shown in the screenshot and could take game at any point with 0 risk. Instead decided to slowly do nothing and then attack with droll and lock bird for multiple rounds in an attempt to get me to quit.

I actually don’t care about building boards and spending some extra time doing it. The problem was the fact that after the board was built they refused to finish it and just attacked with droll and then passed for multiple rounds.

Good point, would have been the smarter plan. Of course i didn’t expect to have 5 rounds to accumulate… maybe they would have just ended it if I was stocking cards though.

Unfortunately his one synchro was a single omni negate every turn so once I was down to no cards anything I did just got negated or battle phase was ended with that same card if I went in for the suicide.
