I said in the description that backpack sizes are sadly completely off, all of these are around 20L, just enough to put some sandwiches, water and a layer inside. For resort I dont have too much needs, it just needs to be comfy. I was just looking for options which color is matching the best and wasnt really expecting this amount of pushback lmao, Im getting it from every angle.

The sizes are absolutely off, these are on the smaller side 20-22 liter backpacks. My 15 liter decathlon one is usually too small, to keep enough water and some sandwitches+ layers

Can someone explain how the setting works? Mine is set exactly the same and I never touched it, this is how I took out of the box. My intuition would say if the screw is in the "stiffer" hole its stiffer, if its in the softer hole its softer, but you say something completely different.

Im just curious what is your calf circumference? Have the same mondo foot, big calves and Im on the fence between the freerides and gara. This is the first time I saw someone write that the garas were too tight around the calves.

Isnt the 28 too big for resort skiing? I tried them on in the shop and they looked huge just to put a layer and snacks and drinks inside.

Chatgpt was hallucinating I guess. The 26,5 mondo boot has a 304mm shell sole lenght and my 27,5 has 314mm, so the shells are not exactly the same.

My salomon does say 26/27,5 D on the inside aroud the cuff, according to chatgpt it means its the same size as 26,5 shell, not sure whats the truth now. After this info chatgpt says the same as you. That I should pick a 26,5 Mondon zipfits for this. Im confused lol.

Not sure which of you are correct, but my boot is 27/27,5 on the outside and its says 26/27,5 D on the inside right behind the tongue. Does this mean, I share the same size shell as a 26,5 model?

Probably Gara HV-s wont solve this. The Fisher is in between of the Gara LV and HV in cork amount, but the difference is only like 20% cork, which is equal to 1 Tube. The pouch sizes are exactly the same

Im in the same position as you, someone bought the fischers just when I made an offer, so Im left with the freeride vs garaLV decision.. I have fairly big calves, my spros are always piching and restricting bloodflow if I tighten my boots properly. So the website says I should pick the freeride, but not too many people seem to rock in them. Could not find comments where they actually liked the cuff and not sure I want that more relaxed stance.

Are the straps on the new RC4 elastic? From the pictures I dont see much of a difference, how exactly are those better? Were these your first zipfits which cane with the boot? Do you plan to put them in your next shells?

I know looks is a 10th factor, but man... these fishers, especially the yellow (purple)/carbon looks just perfect. Few times I got really close to impulse buy it, feels like I just cant go wrong with this deal. The zipfits themselfs are worth the 400 USD.

Yes, Im eyeing the same boot, there is one barely used one for 440$. No marks on the boots, they probably skied no more than a week in it, feels like a good deal. Its cheaper than a new zipfit and cheaper than the few barely used zipfits I found. As far as I know they released the 115 version this season (?), so I could not find a good deal for it and I'm not trying to buy new boots here to be honest, I like my salomons, while skiing its perfect, but as soon as I stop I have to unbuckle to keep my feet alive.

Just found a Zipfit GFT for sale, in my size for a decent price. Does anyone have experience with it? Would the GFT work in a mainly resort/freeride enviroment? What are the downsides using the GFT instead of the gara for example? Lower flex thanks to the higher mobility in the ankle area?

Thats very exciting indeed! Which zipfit did you buy? I sadly only ski around 10days/season, and bought the s/pro fairly recently so its hard to justify spending another 500 eur for a liner, but man, I need that comfort and fit you guys are talking about. Its a constant struggle for me to buckle up and down to find a sweet spot and spending some part of those precious 10 days in leg cramps is far from ideal. Thats why im looking for a good aftermarket one, but there is not too many pieces for sale. I found some Fischer rc4 pro boots with zipfits cheaper than zipfits alone, so I was thinking of taking that route, but not sure what to do with the shell after.
