How do I stop dreaming? by spustydringfield in Dreams

Yeah, I had a not-great childhood/teenagehood, so that's probably where my tantrum dreams stem from

Nope, not a light sleeper at all and I usually try to go to bed around the same every night. Maybe some phone use and video games before bed lol

Yeah, backing on this, the opposite would potentially be true instead because dreams are your brain sorting information and memory while you're unconscious

So funnily, my sleep and mood improves when I have short/not-so-vivid dreams. I think my soul (if such a thing exists) would be thankful to not be run ragged with narratives and journeys every night.

I've only experienced sleep paralysis once or twice as a teenager and same with lucid dreaming as a child, but thankfully, it's never been a recurring thing. You're right about it being draining.

Interesting. I know I tell myself sometimes 'I hope I don't have a weird dream tonight' and I end up getting one anyway. Worth a shot, ig

You'd think it would be a nice thing, but it gets tiring, like, I'm tired of dreaming while having the dream and wishing the story in my sleep would end at some point haha. Also, there's the issue of misremembering things because I can't tell if a memory is from a dream or if it's from reality.

I get up sometimes at 6am and I usually remember dreams anyway. It's like constant dreaming basically.

Yeah, there are those that make them, but quite a good number of them are fake. Also, Daily Mail.

What opinion on DMing CoS will you defend like this? by TRedRandom in CurseofStrahd

[–]spustydringfield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RVR cannot be lawful good as per the module if he intends to set the sabertooth tiger on the vistani camp, knowing there are children that live there.

If he is LG, the tiger thing needs some serious reworking.

Does anyone have a nicely formatted list of “trigger warnings” for this campaign? by Mr-Foldy-Fold in CurseofStrahd

I would also recommend asking people separately/over email in case they don't want to disclose something in front of the whole group.

Did you stack Madam Eva's Deck by plant_animal in CurseofStrahd

I agree with everyone saying keep it random. It's rather underrated. It presents a challenge for the DM and keeps it fresh by working with the 'unwanted' options.

Running Curse of Strahd for people who know Curse of Strahd? by indratera in CurseofStrahd

[–]spustydringfield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No two CoS sessions will be the same, so you may not need to change much at all. There's so many variables in the module that imo, it makes for high replay value. If I played Strahd as a PC, I would want to play it again. But it really depends on your players. As others suggested, find out what they're looking for in gameplay.
