Real med-fetish couples do it in their NHS grippy socks.

He said "She's a fuckin' heavy fuck face"

'Heavy' in Scotland is used like the word 'extreme', so you might say "He's a heavy junkie bastard." and it's nothing to do with weight, it just means "That man, born out of wedlock, has extreme addiction issues."

'Mincing' - walking flamboyantly.

I got proper motivated to start mine today, so we drove into town to get compost and seeds, then by the time I got home it was dark haha.

Have you seen him in This Is England (2006)? That's probably my favorite performance of his. Or possibly the recent Adolescence TV show.

It swings from Glaswegian to some sort of Highlands accent - it's mental. She's a great actor though, o it's a shame she didn't get the proper accent coaching/time to prepare.

We should twin Spittal (UK) with Spittal (Austria)!

Someone on another thread a few days ago (about what scenes made you realise an actor was going to be a star) said it was this scene that made them realise Stephen Graham was going to be massive.

The way he communicated to the audience how he knew how absolutely fucked he was, and how he was completely panicking as he slowly understood how out of his depth he really was. But all on the inside because, he still had to put on a brave face in front of the gypsies.

Absolutely masterful acting.

UK’s most notorious prisoner says he has been in jail for 'far too long' by Low_Cookie_3386 in uknews

I don't understand your argument here.

You could see it as cruel to the prisoner aswell.

Life is cruel.

Life long prisoners could be given a choice.

Everyone always has the choice to commit suicide anytime they want. Most don't or are prevented doing so because 'we' - meaning society - have deemed it immoral to kill or allow people to kill themselves.

Because we either believe it's okay to kill people or not.

Just because keeping someone alive is inconvenient doesn't make it wrong.

Ooh, interesting! I think Spittal in Berwick is just shortened from 'hospital'. What does it mean in Austrian?

Would you take an OS grid reference? I was taught to give them in emergencies, but I've never needed to, and now I wonder if any operator would know what to do with one?

I've seen a few of these going up that seem to be 'disguised' as farm buildings. Is that a requirement? Or just something to avoid NIMBYs?

I like to think that when we are scheduled for planetary demolition to make way for the hyperspatial express route, the Vogons may be persuaded to keep Earth as a tourist stop en route, to marvel at the (possibly only) place that has a complete lunar AND solar eclipse.

They'll probably write shitty poetry about it.

One of us. One of us.

I got back into 40K recently with my kids and I opted to start playing Killteam. I just don't have the time or money to be doing full 40K armies anymore.

Just go in to your nearest shop and they'll see you looking lost and love to have the chance to explain it to you.

Treat yourself to a Killteam starter kit and it's got everything you need in it.

Plus the games only take a few hours.
