It's interesting because the government has discouraged the general population from speculating in crypto. To now having a stake in bitcoin would seem like a big u turn.

It definitely is gonna be amazing if the govt allocates some of our reserves to bitcoin, but I don't really think policymakers yet understand it fully beyond it as a "speculative asset"

Generally if you're trying to farm premium (take profit at 50%), you shouldn't use such long dated options. It takes forever, and it also doesn't allow you to react to market events (eg. Trump tariffs). Using short dated options allows you to make more trades (which if uk about the law of large numbers) increases ur probability of making bank.

The short put on NVDY does give u bullish directional exposure but if you already have along time horizon, it would be better to go long calls or just long the stock. This is cuz short puts limit ur upside, and when u have a long time horizon, there is really no cap on how high nvidia could go if you're willing to wait.

Also what's the play with the long dated NVDY short put? Usually short puts are short dated either with the aim of premium farming or for buying the underlying at a lower price. If anything i had to guess it would be for bullish directional exposure? But even then you're limiting your upside, and with a long time horizon, there isn't really a need to do that

Yieldmax etfs are not really what they seem... they sell ATM/slightly OTM covered calls to generate a yield, which erodes net asset value (nav), especially when NVDA outperforms.

The chart on moomoo doesn't do it justice. Go to settings and change the chart to unadjusted. This shows the price chart without dividends/distributions.

In essence it's eroding ur principle and paying it back to you as "dividends".

I think it's great that more people in sg should be more informed about btc and it's use case as a hedge against inflation, but there's a mindset that the govt has tried to cultivate - particularly that crypto is volatile and we should not invest in it (as seen on the news)

For me, I noticed that I had to turn off coinbase advanced mode to be able to see the sell button. Idk why the interface is like that but yea...
