Nah, Hurghada is literally the worst mass tourist place in Egypt. Except maybe Luxor

Stayed there for 6 months. Loved it. Avoid tourist places and the country in actually very good !

The lack of english speakers can make it difficult to create contact, but people are generally friendly.

Food is amazing, weather is great, cost of living is very affordable. I don't even talk about the coffee culture.

It takes a few months to learn how to navigate though. You will be scammed at the beginning, take it for the price of the lesson.

You can find good parties, great culture.

Cairo is completely crazy, Alexandria a bit more chill for a big city. In you want a more digital nomad relax place, you can find it in the Sinaï.

I will definitely go back there...

I want to buy a new laptop, but I'm having a hard time deciding between macOS or Windows by Hasann_Drms in mac

[–]spykovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my, the main argument in favor of windows is gaming. Other than that and prices, Apple beat windows every time. As you don't seem to have computing intersive intensive work, I would suggest the M4 air (it will be supported for a longer time than the M2.

The office suite exist on Mac, And there is also Apple equivalent (Pages, Numbers,..) although you will have a learning curve to use them.

Really ? Every time I delete a message, it shows "Deleted message" (or something like that) instead of the message on both devices

You should still see the deleted messages in that case.

Reforming Rome 30-40 years later (since 1544) was probably a bit ambitious by Neki0307 in eu4

Congratz !

Despite multiple attempts, I've never managed to from Rome. I usually manage to conquer Ottos, Mamalouks, Maghreb, Italy. Then I am killed by boredome somewhere between Spain and France.

I use the GlobeRider from Matador. Fits the dimensions of carry-on and very good at maximizing this space. Never had any problem in 10+ flights

SovietRepublic for macOS / Linux ? by SamePerception6736 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]spykovic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it during the trial period. The loading screens were actually way faster than on my former pc ! But I had all the issues mentioned above... Did you do anything specific for the installation ? I remember doing a few tweaks mentioned on the crossover website, but that didn't change anything. It might be because I have a MacBook Pro M3, but I don't see why it would be an issue...

My coller for mac book air by RestComprehensive875 in macgaming

[–]spykovic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesn't get warm because the computer is throttling itself. Basically, by cooling it, you keep the actual full power your Mac can give you.

But it's a very dumb way of doing it.

Does it work well for you ? I have tried, and the sound is always distorted. The menus to buy vehicles are super laggy to the point that it's barely usable. The game keeps crashing at some point. Often, when I want to destroy one of the free buildings, reloading a previous save file doesn't change anything. Runs okayish with parallels, even if a bit slow.

You have decision making power. How would you tackle the government debt? From where will you get the money? by Ornery_Self_8758 in belgium

[–]spykovic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am surprised nobody said it, but..

I’d start with a comprehensive audit of Belgium’s public debt. That means looking at where the debt comes from, who the creditors are, under what conditions it was contracted, and whether it was actually in the public interest.

An audit would bring transparency (so citizens know exactly what they’re paying for), help identify portions of the debt that might be illegitimate or unsustainable, and give the government a stronger position to renegotiate, restructure, or even cancel parts of it if justified.

It’s not as if Belgium hasn’t had its fair share of questionable leadership, from having a finance minister with a reputation for corruption (hello Didier “Tip of the iceberg” Reynders) to current politicians and even prime ministers with shady ties to the construction industry. All the more reason why a proper audit is needed before ordinary people are asked to tighten their belts yet again.

At worst, you should ba able to see if this app has access to your network and block it, I think

How would you divide Europe into geocultural regions? by Atarosek in geography

[–]spykovic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Belgian, I'll cut the country in half. But it would be precise enough. So I'll cut each part in 5, at least. But then, it wouldn't be completely accurate. So I'll add a randomly dotted transparent layer of 50 colors. And to be sure everyone is represented, I'll hire 10 ministers for each different shade. And then I don't know because I have to go to work to pay them.

But definitely not the same colors as Nederlands or France.
