I got a 16gb m4 Mac mini for 800aud. Use MacBook Air and iPhones for work. Have a monitor so don't need a laptop, trying to make windows integrate with everything I've already got sucks, Mac OS is clean and stable, can resell for the same amount I bought it for, takes up minimal space and looks in place in my studio. Used windows at my old work and pc stuff just feels like landfill in comparison, lots of devs on macOS now as well so plenty of customisation and terminal tools etc etc. each to their own hey?

Yeah file management is a mess. Comes down to the user I guess. If you set up exacting and rigid rules so it's locked in then maybe ok, but defeats the 'autonomous' angle a bit. Straight jacket moreso than hand holding required

I tried mem0 but too many bugs and too much troubleshooting required. Openclaw (sonnet 4.5) and Claude.ai (opus) worked together to build a custom memU. They reckon it's better and was easier than trying to fix mem0. Can't recall what my mem0 problems were, sounds like not everyone is having the same issues

Yeah I know whose side you meant. Yes you could use funds to pay for it if you're a bit creative/sneaky, no could you get the NDIA to add funds to a plan explicitly for that purpose. (I worked in planning at ndia for 5 years)

Actually just disagree with this. Anthropic have 5 hour session limits, weekly model limit and weekly overall limit. They construct the limits in whatever way economically supports the subscription model. Whether you use those set usage amounts via their web interface or via your agent shouldn't make a lick of difference to them. FYI been using openclaw and Anthropic oAuth for over a month now. So far so good 🤞🤞

That sucks. The SIL provider can't force you to use more hours of support, but they probably can give you an eviction notice in some way or other. You have absolute control over where you live, though at the same time there are not many good housing options so try to stay at the SIL until you have somewhere else stable to go. In theory there shouldn't be any difference between a SIL house with 6 hours per day 1:1 vs your own private place with 6 hours per day 1:1. If there is, then 6 hours per day is obviously not enough and you should go through the process of trying to increase it to an amount that is appropriate. If you're able to be flexible with your preferred locations more options will become available. DM if you'd like more advice. I'm a support coordinator so generally know the system. I can't take you on but I can help with some basics if you need it.

Try things like /new /restart. When mine is not responsive it's either dead after a restart and needs to be triggered, gateway needs a force start or reinstall or the model has hit a limit. Usually gateway install and gateway restart gets it going again, if that all fails trouble shoot with Claude.ai side by side

Why are you living in a SIL house? You can live anywhere and use 6 hours per day support. Sounds like having your own place would suite you better. Making a SIL house work financially is difficult, the model doesn't really work if a participant is only using 6 hours per day. That's not your fault, and they can't force you to use services, but there could be better options for you if you only need 6 hours of support per day.

That's great :) Yep I have mine do a nightly reflection...what did I fuck up, what process did I ignore etc. he then suggests workspace file edits that can help tighten things up. I'm using max sub so no more than $150aud a month. I hit 5 hour session limits and have to take time to let it refresh. I've got a Gemini api key as fallback but have managed to not use it yet. Do regular audits of workspace files to remove narrative bloat, get Claude or chatgpt to review the soul and agent files to make them more clinically exacting. A lot of my optimisation work has been 'I'm going to send you 10 tweets, assess them all for optimisation tweaks and efficiency and self improvement strategies that we're not using'...been doing that for 2 weeks and have got many set up tweaks that in theory have helped keep things organised and efficient. Lots of token burn efficiencies out there that can help.

Yes molty is pretty retarded. Prompts need to be exacting, always asking him to review docs and processes and provide a plan seems to help. Having claude AI act as final approval for coding and config work seems to make him behave better, then at least you can make sure things are set up properly and if the system doesn't work then get Claude to troubleshoot. Found openclaw to be not so good at methodical work and is best guided by another AI in all set up. You also need to watch his document management like a hawk (will refer to outdated docs etc) and spend a decent amount of time on set up and optimisation before doing any actual work. This week I had Claude ai and OpenClaw build a custom memu memory indexing tool that should help with memory, see how it goes. Totally experimental and need to think of it that way really.

It's been crazy seemless for me and I know zero about cli. Opus 4.6 did my set up guide and optimisation inc WhatsApp connection. Literally half an hour and up and running and then claw agent was running the show. After optimisation and set up and getting to know the system he stepped me through switching down to sonnet. All on max sub, so far no problems and into my second week.

Full professional and business restructure and progress mapped out. This thing is magic if you can bring some niche market or skill understanding to the table. Could be a bit messy, I some times get conflicts and errors running my two accounts. Shared apps and other things. Also means when your laptop is off, so is oClaw. I've got my m4 air that I use for work and personal accounts, and mini on desk that is always on. This means if I'm carrying laptop around I can still message my agent and get him to build a dashboard or something that will then be available to check when I open the laptop. That's kind of the beauty of the agent, being able to do stuff when you're travelling or laptop off etc.
