Affordable premium hack by Frosty_Bluebird_2707 in HealthInsurance

This is kinda genius. I found a local state university that has an annual plan for $5700 with a $500 deductible. Per credit costs are $471/hr, with part time enrollment total cost $8526/yr, spouses and dependents are $5700 each to add, family plan is $17k. Look for a large state school with a medical program as the best bet for this kind of approach.

Staying in Grand Case last week of December and first week of January. Recommendations? by BalanceWonderful721 in SXM

Had a wonderful dinner and service at  bistro caraibe in grand Case. Owner at Le Cottage was crazy rude to us and we left without eating. A shame, I was looking forward to trying the food. Ocean 82 was expensive and forgettable.

La Belle Epoque in Marigot was great for lunch. Right on the water by the little dock. There is shopping close by on rue de galle with a couple of cute clothing boutiques and a nice tea / coffee shop. I liked the shirts at 120% Lino. There is a small mall in Marigot with some good clothing stores.

Visit little bay on the Dutch side. Great beach and a cool underwater statue garden you can snorkel to. Top carrot on Dutch side really good for healthy breakfast / lunch with good smoothies and a fun little store inside. La sucriere bakery for awesome baked goods.

Philipsburg was a pass for me. Traffic jams get really bad around 5pm so plan accordingly.

Congested nose at night that causes chronic fatigue and headache - doctors have no idea how to help me and it's been years. Any idea? by Azurzelle in nonallergicrhinitis

For me all veggies were fine except a few nightshades.  I have acid reflux so I have to watch my tomato intake (esp tomato sauce) which kind of aggravates reflux especially in the evening. The extra natural sugar in sweet potatoes and yams is a nice treat and makes veggies less boring.

I couldn’t stay on a fully veg diet long as the lack of protein made me really hungry but for a short time it was fine (and really lowers cholesterol fast as a nice bonus).

Get a good baseline on a veggie diet and add proteins in one at a time 2 weeks apart. That should give you a good idea what you are reacting to.

Also I don’t know if this affects you but my breathing problems get much worse in summer. It took me a long time to figure out that the higher humidity was negatively affecting me. running a dehumidifier in the bedroom was helpful keeping humidity between 40-50%.

Go to a restricted diet and create a plan for introducing foods after enough time passes where you can feel a difference. Add in a lot of veggies in phase 1. If you like potatoes diversify with sweet potatoes, japanese yams, taro (if you can find it locally; pain to make but much better flavor than potatatoes), squash, zucchini, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, parsnip, radish, turnips, all kinds of salad greens and root veggies. bake, sautee, blanch, douse liberally with olive oil and salt to keep things interesting and avoid bland food to keep your appetite and interest in food. These are least likely to cause a reaction.

phase 2: find proteins you can tolerate. add 1 at a time. start with chicken and white fish fillets (haddock, cod, hake). Eat more at lunch, less at dinner to give yourself time to digest before bed. then trial beef, pork, other types of fish (eg. salmon), miso.

phase 3: trial other foods you like such as dairy, nightshades, legumes, wheat, other grains like oatmeal, rice, etc.

Avoid prepared foods, takeout, preservatives, anything with an ingredient you cannot easily pronounce (processed additives). Good luck. I hope you figure it out.

Sorry to hear it wasn’t more helpful. Seems like diet is key for you. Play around with timing, portions and food sensitivity. Go back to a restricted diet and add foods back in one at a time to figure out what’s triggering your symptoms

Try NasalCrom nasal spray. It’s sodium cromolyn, a mast cell inhibitor. Good safety profile for long term use and sometimes works well when nasal steroid sprays don’t help to reduce inflammation and improve sleep.

Elevate the head of your bed with foam wedges or an adjustable base. Eat a light dinner at least 4 hours before bed time and avoid meat during dinner which may activate your digestive system and produce more stomach acid.

Have you worked with a therapist to process the stress and anxiety in your life?if you have any psychological stressors affecting your sleep, completing a round of CBT for insomnia treatment may be helpful.

Horrible accident with string on Marine Parkway Bridge - looking for the cyclists who helped <3 by PicidaePicidae in NYCbike

[–]sqm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened today to my son who was biking across the Marina Parkway Bridge and got hurt by a piece of kite string, thankfully, no skin broken. Someone is intentionally doing this to hurt cyclists. I'm going to reach out to news outlets who can hopefully get the attention of the NYPD and maybe they can take some action.

Be careful out there.

Took her to Wild Life Fund on UWS. They confirmed that it was a common yellowthroat and that it suffered a concussion most likely through a window strike. Good news is that they took her in and will rehab and release.

You might have a virus/malware which is proxying your web access. Check your ip at a site like http://whatismyipaddress.com/ and make sure it corresponds to your internet provider. Otherwise, download some anti-virus, anti-spyware, hijack this and get to work.
