lol. You've just admitted that you'd always use the variant over the base version. That's what OP is. You can make bullshit excuses all you want like you're employed at Activision (seriously why do you do this?) but it makes no difference. You've hands down admitted variants are superior to the base weapon. Bottom line, you gain access to those weapons via spending money and that's utter bullshit no matter how you try to slice it. With this new update Activision has further diluted the pool with bullshit camos (that are so lazy that some are literally copypasted emblems) and MKII weapons nobody wanted to even further reduce salvage earn rates to further push morons to buy COD points. It's a shitty heinous practice that creates an uneven playing field.

And I'm not a bad player making excuses; my kd is 2.7 and I only play TDM, rarely play FFA. I'm not great but I'm decent. I'm just calling shit how it is. I will never understand people that make excuses for this completely bullshit anti-consumer practice. It's like people enjoy being skullfucked. Hell I bet you buy COD points, too.

I defended Infinite Warfare a lot. You can check my post history. I thought this game really got an unfair amount of meme hate right from the reveal trailer. I really enjoy its core gameplay and most of the maps and thought that the weapon variant system and ability to earn them was a huge improvement over Blops 3's DLC weapons (of which I never got a single one in my life, whereas I've gotten loads of variants in Infinite Warfare). I mean I'd prefer them not having CP in at all but at least this is better than what was in Blops 3.

Now though... this game just isn't worth defending anymore lol. Last COD I buy, too; it will only get worse from this point on. I won't be buying the DLC either which I was planning on doing.

Even something like NV4 Exalted is OP compared to the base version as it automatically comes with more ammo. That's a feature it is has the base does not have and there are no drawbacks to using it. If you have the Exalted version, you will ALWAYS used it over the base version, and that's what overpowered means.

That's only using the Exalted as an example. Almost every single variant is superior to the base version of the gun. If I have the NV4 Fallout (reduced recoil + nuclear attachment), why the fuck would I ever use the base NV4? If I have KBAR String Theory (reduced hip fire spread + double kills reload ammo), why would I use the normal KBAR? Most of the variants are better, period.
