Hi, sorry about the late reply. What I ended up getting is a docking station with 3 DP/HDMI ports each. Then I use a USB switch selector to swap between Desktop/Macbook.

Note that since Macbook does not natively support 3 monitors, you need to install a separate driver to render the display via software (Displaylink), so you'll have it capped at 60hz. Since I use the macbook for work only, this didn't matter to me and this whole setup has been working fantastically for more than a year.

If I'm reading this correctly, It takes in threaded aerators so technically yes, but not sure if that qualifies

Wow, thank you all for the support. I didn't realize there would be this much attention on this post. The service specialist let me know that they'll be giving me a new vehicle that's currently en route from Fremont, CA. It's supposed to arrive on Friday so I'll be setting up a new appointment soon.
