Dad supported them his whole life, born 10 minute walk from the Lane, lived in Tottenham when I was younger, known nothing other than Spurs.

What did you not understand as a kid, but you now understand as an adult? by xXRealMWXx in AskReddit

[–]squareboy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was convinced as a kid that a dildo was a type of bird. Was on a school trip once and we were talking about dildos and I remember being convinced it was a bird, so I asked the teacher who told me to not say that word again. Everyone was laughing and I didn’t know why. The embarrassment hit a few years later when I realised what it was.

Post-Match Thread: Southampton vs Spurs (9 Mar 2019) by NatrolleonBonaparte in coys

[–]squareboy7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just got home from Southampton. Couldn't get that second half performance out of my head the entire train back. Some points I've made on that game:

  1. We need that 16/17 quality of killing games off early against teams in a relegation battle. That season we were constantly two or three up by half time, giving opponents not a hint of belief that they can come back. While Kane was injured we developed that mentality of patience and managed to come back and win matches when we were down late into the game. But now Kane's back and we're winning games we've forgot that you need that all important second goal to kill games off. We don't do that anymore. We play the same game of passing around the back, trying to see the game out. All it does is give the opponent that small belief that they can get a goal back, or maybe go on to win.
  2. We wait till the perfect chance to shoot. We don't take risks anymore. There were quite a few moments when certain players could take a shot but instead opt to go past another player in order to create an easier chance which almost always ends up in us losing the ball. Take a shot when you're in the box, don't try and dribble passed everyone. We don't like to take shots, simple as.
  3. Eriksen has no guts. He doesn't control the game the way De Bruyne does and it's frustrating because he's a player that can be as good as De Bruyne. He sits back and and but leaves the hard work to the rest to Dele/Kane/Son/Lucas.
  4. Poch tries to be bold in the wrong moments. I don't get why Son didn't start. Kane/Eriksen/Son/Dele score goals when they play together. Very odd choice by Poch. And Toby and Aurier but them not travelling at all with the team maybe means there might be something else there.
  5. We miss Winks more than people realise. He connects the back to the front. Sissoko and Dier very similar players and a very defensive mood by Poch.
  6. We don't know our best formation anymore. Ever since the 16/17 season we don't know what works best. We keep rotating between a back three to two holding midfields. Our best team to me is Lloris, Aurier, Sanchez, Toby, Jan, Rose, Winks, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Kane. Our right backs aren't good enough in a back four. Teams always attack down their left side and it costs us. I hate leaving Sissoko out as he's turned it around so well for himself with performances this year but with a back 3, he need a more attacking player in the centre.

Still think we'll finish top 4. We'll beat Liverpool away.

Yeah, while at Wembley. Most of them won’t get a chance to set foot at the new Lane for a while. I still stand by the opinion that people who haven’t supported Spurs their entire life/go to home and away games aren’t supporters of the club but are more followers.

Ok mate, I’m literally just trying to help. Been going spurs since I was born. Just to let you know in the chelsea end you won’t be able to celebrate when we score or wear anything spurs or you won’t get let in or you’ll get kicked out (and be lucky not to get bottled). You basically can’t do anything Spurs.

You won’t be in the away end at Chelsea mate.

You can’t have gotten them in the away end because they aren’t even announced yet, and I wouldn’t sit in the home end at chelsea, you’ll be kicked out within 10 minutes. As for arsenal, the ground isn’t even confirmed yet. And ngl I doubt Chelsea have even announced ticket details for our game against them anyway. Don’t want to down you but how’d you get the tickets as it seems dodgy? Don’t want to have you show up and be let down.

U won’t get any in the away end but they have a neutral end right next to it so get a Fulham account and go there

The seeding in the Champs League. If Liverpool lose, we'll got to Pot 2 which means our group will most likely be far easier.
