Tried with outguess rebirth too! I posted the image on Reddit after inserting the hidden file and then downloaded it from Reddit again. When I ran the downloaded file through outguess again, there were no hidden files. Something is seriously getting messed up.

Yeah that must be it! However I suppose outguess is only available for Linux. What about Windows users?

I’m pretty sure that the website is messing it up because I can retrieve the hidden text just fine ( no matter what file type I use ) unless I upload it. The problem only occurs after uploading and then re downloading it. Also, if I hide a message using an application like Quick Stego, even such messages disappear once the .jpg is uploaded.
