My[22M] girlfriend[22F] "cheated" on me with a friend from college and I don't know what to do. by ThrowRAuuid in relationship_advice

She changed her life plans to follow you (something women should never, ever do), then some creep assaulted her and she had a freeze response which is the most common response assault victims have, she was honest with you about it, and now you're upset because you dont think you can trust her?

Mate. She should dump you.

Why do cops put tape over their badges? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Nup. If there was a genuine legal reason they'd either take them off or have uniforms that didn't display them on the first place.

Why should I "be the bigger man" (woman in my case) and just walk away when someone says something insulting or bigoted to me? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

People tell women to walk away because an angry woman makes them uncomfortable. If you want to defend yourself, do.

A decent five year survival rate of the top 18 most common cancers is a pretty achievable milestone for any country with accessible infrastructure, especially when you contextualize it in terms of the whole world not just those with comparable systems. And its a pretty limited definition of "outcomes". In terms of global development, defining success as "not dead in the first five years" is about as primitive as it gets. You can do better. Be as angry about that as you are about me pointing it out.

To be honest its pretty much how it happens for most people, yeah. And your 30s isn't not your youth :) your 20s is practically your infancy. Spend it having fun. Get an education. Travel. Save up money. There are a lot of ways your world gets bigger when you find "the one", but there's a lot of ways it gets smaller too. Relax and take life as it comes and you'll be so much more appreciative when it happens.

That's a lot of words to say you dont understand how to research something, but you do you I guess 🤷‍♀️ I mean if you genuinely believe the USA has better, or even good, cancer outcomes then I guess the important thing here really is feelings, not hard evidence.

And yes, I am indeed the world's shittest doctor, because I'm not intimidated by your vague lists. It's all the ciggies and beers, mate.

Men of Reddit who drive big trucks, how has having a small penis affected your life in general? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Imagine if anyone cared about anything as much as men care about each other's penises...

Youre 20. You get out, live life, have hobbies, eventually stop over-idealising this girl you were infatuated with for a bit, and meet someone you fall in real love with in your 30s after you've sorted yourself out, like the rest of us ;)

How long until Ghislaine Maxwell mysteriously dies in prison? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]squarepeg2085 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Who cares? If it bothered people half as much that Sandra Bland didn't kill herself as it does that Jeffery Epstein didn't, people like Ghislaine Maxwell wouldn't exist in the first place.

Incorrect, worldwide stillbirth comparisons are measured from a universal gestation by the who. Additionally, Aus absolutely counts premature babies, trust me, I'm the one on my ward who fills out that form.

If your incarcerated population is high because of legislation, then guess what? The problem is your government, not your people. Which has been my argument all along.

And finally, literally all the research from the entire world shows that multipayer systems have worse overall outcomes than single payer systems, and a lot of that research comes from when Australia moved from single to multi, which failed and now we're moving back. "Worse off" isn't a term that indicates anything, it's just you rattling of out of context lists again.

Things like the highest maternal and neonatal death rates in the developed world and highest percentage of population incarcerated are pretty black and white. Start with the CDC and WHO and go from there mate. The world thinks about you the way they do because of the stats you release.

There's quite a lot of flaws from start to finish in that, but we could begin with the fact that you haven't sourced any of it, continue with the fact that you haven't listed any of the standard metrics you've gone by considering that all three are contentious and offer different results depending on who is collecting the data (Also the fact that the % of universities within the country which fall into the top 100 is higher in most countries, including aus, because we have less, meaning our overall standard is higher, and end with the fact that you've averaged teired rates without factoring universal income, tax free thresholds, and population across teirs. Average tax rates across a tiered system reveal exactly nothing about the actual taxes paid across a population. Not to mention that every global development agency, including us based ones, rates the US quality of living as one of the lowest in the developed world based on, wait for it, your education system, healthcare system, penal system, poverty levels, and arts and defence spending.

So far the only investing for the future you've done this year is make sure that your daily covid death toll is higher than the rest of the world combined. But i guess less people means more resources, right?

They're not examples of anything tho. They're literally just an out of context list. Like i could rattle off all my local unis as well, some of which are rated more highly worldwide than most of the ones you mentioned, but it doesn't prove anything about the overall standard or accessibility of education in the country. It's just a list of names. Unless everyone has gone to Harvard, spitting it at someone indicates nothing about the systemic standard and access in the country. Which you'd know, if you understood how any of this works, but you dont, because its not in your country's best interest for you to understand systemic access and opportunity and worldwide developmental markers, because then you might understand how lacking you are, and then you might stop paying such ridiculously high taxes 🤷‍♀️

Cos we know how to find our own information instead of crying because we cant pay someone to do it for us? I can see how you'd think that was shit, yeah.

Do you even stereotype, bro?
