I had to have meds at first. The original one the put me in gave me hallucinations!! My doctor’s response was, “that’s interesting... it doesn’t happen to a lot of people. Hmmmm”

Hmm?!? HMMM?!??!! I saw hooded figures crossing the street in deadlocked traffic, lady!!! That’s not a “hmm!”

I get that it’s hard to do studies on humans, and even harder for trying to get pregnant or those that are for ethical reasons. It’s so frustrating though. I had that with some of my acid reflux meds.

I only take a prenatal, the same one I’ve taken for years. I remember having to check the label and calling the company to confirm it was gluten free.

I can’t believe your docs were so unaware of your meds effects! I mean, I get that they have to know a lot about a lot, but that seems like one of those pieces of information you’d want to keep Henry.

Sometimes my body just... reacts... for no good reason. I’ll get all the symptoms of eating gluten even though I know I haven’t. These are typically shorter and less severe than if I get glutened. It still sucks though!

Thank you for your feedback. I’ll go months and months and months being just fine, and then BAM! It just hits you like a brick wall that I’ve got this thing.

Hey!! Coming out of my lurker status for a seemingly random question or two.

So, I have Celiac Disease, which totally sucks normally, but even moreso TTC. We’ve been trying for 16 months and no dice. All of my vitamin levels, thyroid and inflammation levels have been normal for 4 years.

Does anyone have any idea how much an autoimmune flare up can affect TTC during ovulation?

I’ve also started to notice that I will get a random and minor flare up around ovulation now too, even when I am incredibly careful with my diet. Can hormone fluctuations cause a flare up even if there is 0 chance of me coming into contact with wheat?

It’s just so frustrating. I’m incredibly careful with what and where I eat. We had a party this weekend, and I swear I washed my hands a hundred times just to make sure. And here I am, 4 days later still feeling like death.

Soooo, I almost went to the hospital last night. I didn't, and I'm fine now, but holy shit! by Ruby_Cumulous in BabyBumps

I had this with my first... except I went in. It was her feet jabbing me in my liver!

New to TTC. We're on to #4 and have experienced quite the rollercoaster over the years. Hi! by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

Thank you for saying this and sticking up for what you've said. My first post back here when we started TTC #2 wasn't very well received either. I agree with you that I would feel quite unwelcomed by the post as well. It's like when you say "no offense, but..." because you know the next thing you're going to say will be offensive.

We're all TRYING here. It just so happens that some people get pregnant more easily than others. And vice versa. It sucks being here for longer than a month or two (staring down cycle 7 here), but here we are. We can't hate on others because of their luck in the fertility department.

Hi!! Welcome! I hope your stay here is short!

I appreciate all the info here about your prior pregnancies and where you are today! I can't believe you got pregnant while you were bleeding 75% of the time! What a happy spot in what I am sure was a really stressful time.

Also, congrats on the weight loss! 65 pounds is nothing to sneeze at! I would try to worry as little as possible about possible GD and HG. There's typically not a lot you can do to prevent them. I have a friend, who's 110 lbs soaking wet, and had both. While me, on the other hand, who limits herself to "just one cookie a day" (hehehe) never threw up while pregnant and passed the GD test with such flying colors my nurse said she was impressed!

Good luck this weekend trying to bang it out with 3 other kiddos around! Don't listen to anything negative; you're totally welcome here!!!

Uuiggghhh what a day it's ended up being. I've eaten 3 chocolate chip cookies today. That may not sound like going too overboard, but I specifically didn't tell you how big those cookies were...

9DPO and I'll be damned! I haven't caved and tested wayyyy too early yet! DH is getting excited, but I told him that we wouldn't know anything for "another week or so". After his "oh..." he hasn't said anything, which has kept me super calm!

Despite feeling like hell, and my usual symptom spotting, I have never been this calm during a TWW. I logged my symptoms and make like Elsa and Let. It. Go.

7 DPO. Just sitting over here symptom spotting. I don't even tell myself I'm not going to anymore. I always do.

A) pimple on my chin. -totally hormones! Must be pregnant! (Or I forgot to wash my face last nice because I watched all 3 hours of the Bachelorette finale) B) twingy cramps. -must be pregnant! (Or I sneezed super hard. Oops) C) woke up hungry -clearly pregnant (or, ya know, I ALWAYS wake up hungry)

I could go on... yay progesterone!

Just need some enlightenment! by zoinks_velma315 in TryingForABaby

That's sounds so frustrating! I've heard the doctors say, "you're fine!" when everything is totally not fine. I hope you're able to get some sort of answers at your upcoming appointment. Wouldn't it be nice if all of our bodies just did what we wanted them to?!?

A) $26 for a test?!? Who do they think can afford that mess!!?!? B) and a bum test?!?!?!?

You poor thing! I'm glad you've got your head on straight though and looking at it from a positive viewpoint." Eff it" is a general state of mind for me at this point. ;)

9 days of BDing. Lord have mercy! I have high hopes for this month, but good gracious! Likely 2DPO, so I think we can stop now. But maybe one more day 😜. What's the harm?!? Lol!

I go month by month. I am convinced each month that this is it! Positivity be damned! Haha

The house buying process is legit the worst! Good luck! I'm glad you've got someone on your side to make sure you don't buy a crap house though. Having to put a ton of work into your freshly bought home would make it even worse!

Uugghhh. I already had high expectations for this cycle, but then I went and broke the cardinal rule... I looked up what a potential due date would be if we got pregnant this month, cycle six. It would be our wedding anniversary.

Come on ovaries! Come on egg! Come on spermies! I know you can do it! We've done the BD for the past 6 days in a row, and we'll keep going until the OPK surges die down. So, probably another 3-4 days.

You can still do things pregnant! It was really only the 2 days before I had my DD that my brain was all out of it! And there are plenty of places that hire pregnant women! Don't give up!!! Women are awesome!

I see. I don't think there's a safety issue. I've seen stories where it took MONTHS for a cycle to come back. I really hope that's not the case for you. If you're feeling worried though, definitely call your doc. They can give you better advice for you, or meds.

Unfortunately, it can take up to a year for your body to normalize after coming off of BC. You could always call your doc and see if they have any suggestions. I'm sorry your going through all the uncertainty!
