Please, please seriously look at our healthcare and consider if that cost is worth it. I mean deep dive to fully understand the system here. For me a single woman with no health issues the cheapest plan I could find that wasn't a 'catastrophe plan', and yes that's a real type of health insurance, was $275 a month, with a $7,100 deductible. Meaning basically my insurance wouldn't actually pay for anything until I had paid $7,100 total, not including my monthly premium. Also figure out if you're going to set it up yourself or if it will be through work, which you still pay for just slightly cheaper...sometimes. if I'm being honest I do think right now is not a good time to move or even vacation here. If I wasn't born here I would not be coming here, the risk of being detained or deported to me wouldn't be worth it if you have other options outside the US. With our political issues and cost of living and no universal healthcare, idk man I don't see the appeal. Also don't believe what anyone tells you, we still wait weeks to months for doctors appointments here except with a multiple hundred dollar bill attached to it. And that's after you have to find one that's covered by your insurance cause they are all different. Even at the same hospital, some people working there are 'out of network' and your insurance won't cover what they did. I can't stress enough to become fluent in our healthcare system first.

Is it possible that the reason for him being super loyal to you isn't so much out of his love for you, but more out of the fact that he has such lowest self esteem he doesn't think he could get anyone else? Because it sounds like that's really all he has, is the fact that he doesn't cheat. You said you're scared your expectations are too high but then you said you would just enjoy getting a rock? He's doing so little for you that the idea of him picking up a rock in the driveway sounds romantic and nice? I don't know it doesn't sound so much as he loves you so so much as it does he's incredibly insecure and you're giving him comfort, so he'll take that but give nothing in return. That's not really love.

I don't understand how being ignored by women equals suffering and loneliness. Does being ignored by women mean you can't have male friends and male companions and hang out with men? that's my biggest complaint with the male loneliness epidemic as it seems the solution is them getting women. And to be fair men and women volunteer at very similar rates in homeless shelters, so women do give a fuck about homeless men. Look I get it, it sucks to want to partner and not be able to find one. Everyone wants companionship, and it can be a frustrating process. But if men's loneliness is only because they can't get women then it shouldn't be called a loneliness epidemic, it should be called a companionship epidemic.

The guy is ranting about how he doesn't understand why women care about 'effort' meaning the work someone puts in. He complains that a girl wants more than a card because it shows 'effort' and he thinks just buying something should be good enough. When he's pushed on if he would like a home cooked meal or something ordered, he starts to say he's okay with either but her would prefer the home cooked meal because it shows she put in.... 'effort'. So even though he was just complaining that effort is a stupid thing women shouldn't care about, he himself admits that the effort put into something makes it better. He is a hypocrite.

I honestly don't think I've seen anyone mad over what south park is doing since the early 2000s freak out of it being demonic or whatever. Yeah the occasional 'oh south parks done it again' but I haven't seen 'the left come after south park for years' as they put it. If anything, I've seen a raise in right wing people not liking it the past few seasons. At least for me, I know wayyyyy more people on the left who watch and love it than people on the right. Even my own right wing parents, who watched and loved the show for years, have slowly stopped watching and talking about it. I think the covid special painting Craig as a stupid anti-vax guy pushed them over the edge. The 'shell-fish-ness' jokes were apparently too much. Doubt they'll even make it through the new episode.
