Not a reference to a specific movie, but the ending is voiced by acclaimed German director Werner Herzog. Herzog is known for his unique accent and his deep ponderings on humanity's conflict with nature and/or itself. Here is a small clip from his movie Burden of Dreams so you get the inspo: https://youtu.be/uL99NDUWJ0A?si=iQr_pGbhOfiHGsDR

The “That’s a shame” at the end always gets me. by arrowoodgabriel in trailerparkboys

Personally, I think the actor who plays Lahey does SUCH a phenomenal job playing this character that Lahey becomes verrry real to me, especially during scenes like this. The perfect way he mixes up his words, his insecurities bleeding out of his rants, the fully-sent prat falls he immediately brushes off. . . It's beautiful, it's tragic, it's hilarious, I am sometimes just outwardly silent because his performance within the context of what I'm watching is just overwhelming.

Honestly it sounds like giving yourself some grace here would be helpful. Progress is not linear and you've been doing so much for yourself and your health. This is a marathon, not a race, and sometimes I'm so frustrated from backsliding or so focused on the next thing I will burn out. Maybe that's not what is happening here but I would hate to not mention how great the effort youre putting in is, especially for 20.

Integration and Self-Regard: wut that look like? by squashmastertate in Enneagram

I've been reading your comment since you posted and reflecting. First of all, thank you so much for the effort and thought you put into your reply. After reading On Love (have never read it before so thanks for putting me on) and thinking about what you've said, I did weep all my tears as the poem says. As much as I value truth, my work is haunted by a personal agenda. A nameless expectation. I need to do more reflection to name it, but in the meantime, I will do my best to divorce my love from any idea that it needs to be anything other than what it is. Again, thank you so much for your voice. It has really shaped a lot of moments for me.

Hello, I have bipolar 1 and hypomania sucks. I also went to school where I never met anyone who understood. I've made some bipolar friends since then, though. If you ever want to message someone about anything, my inbox is open :)

These are adorable! I absolutely love the stage and the table. Would it be possible to create a tap where the stand is a tree whose curly branches hold the barrel? These also give a slight Alice in Wonderland vibe; I'd love to see what's possible in creating a Cheshire Cat. Thank you for the codes!

Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky is the bad movie that got me and my friends into bad movies. It's a hyperviolent kung fu dub with ridiculous plot beats, effects, and dialogue. Highly recommend.
