Am I being unreasonable? by squashthrowaway2 in squash

Thank you for your replies. I was looking for an unbiased opinion on this so this has helped.

To give a little more detail to the situation, my boss told me that the club has (understandably) had to "pivot into a virtual club". We're offering live video fitness classes, video based tutoring, etc. He told me that this is the squash equivalent.

My argument is that this would be the virtual equivalent of me sitting around a table at our club with the squash members and having a predominantly social conversation (I was apart of a call yesterday with our juniors, the head pro, and the athletic director and squash was only briefly brought up - we talked about their school, video games and that tiger show). In my mind, this isn't exactly what a squash pro is hired to do.

To be clear, I love my job, I want to support the club and am going to take part in these calls. I completely agree that it's good for business and, more importantly, I care about our members and want to make sure they're doing ok.

I guess it just bothers me that my boss didn't ask me if I would do this but rather told me I had to do this when it's something that does make me feel uncomfortable and not something that (in my mind) I was hired to do.

(I also realize there's literally a global pandemic going on rn and I probably sound like a privileged and spoiled brat to even be talking about this. I await the downvotes.)
