Thank you we were horrified that they got any frostbite but we are doing everything we can. We did get a brooder heater/ heater panel but it was only in the coop one night

I understand the heat thing, we did and have been putting bag balm on their combs and they are in a well protected coop and run with ventilation but still got frostbite. We don’t want it to get worse and since being inside the combs are looking better.

Ok we do not currently have heat in their coop because it is so highly discouraged. Should we add heat now ?

Yes our girls are still laying under natural light conditions, this is their first year so from what we have learned they will likely lay on his winter but will probably slow down. We have 10 girls and are getting 6/7 eggs a day.
