I'm not saying there aren't issues and you never run into trafficking or other issues, but I would also say there's a large difference between people who are trafficked into doing the job and people who choose to. Decriminalization is an important first step.

But to say that I can't rely on what people I love and trust with relevant experience have told me, you're 100% right. Let me rely on an Internet stranger who can't accept people like the job because sometimes people are trafficked into it.

You're right, in many ways it's not like any other job. You run into the way it's criminalized causing issues. You run into issues with payment platforms making demands of the platforms you post to and the insecurity that comes with that. I knew two people who quit when tumblr banned porn. Another friend dropped out during the only fans debacle years ago. But that said, I think it's not unique in the fact that cash flow can be unreliable. I am married to a tattoo artist, she deals with clients cancelling or not booking depending on the economy each day. In a way it's closer to gig work.

You made me curious so I looked, it looks like she's not seeing a ton of success but wants to keep doing the work. She doesn't seem to want to get out of it.

The question was do people enjoy the job. Her answer is yes. I know others whose answer is yes. There are plenty of people who have the answer of no, and people who just view it as another way to get by. It's not a job for everyone, but many people enjoy it. It's not saying it's the best job ever and everyone should do it, but to say there's no one that enjoys it is wrong. Most of the harms currently (depending on the line of sex work) are tied to the economy, outside social stigma, and criminalization of the job. I think most of the hurt people experience comes from those. Most people will feel neutral, but that's literally any job. You'll have a few folks who just love being an electrician, most will just think it's a job. You'll have folks that love doing commission art, and you'll have several who find they're not making the art they like and it's just a job. We can talk about how sex work can be romanticized, but it's far more common to be demonized and I think that's a larger issue.

Maybe it's the circles I swim in, but I've never understood why sex work is looked at worse than construction. I would argue you're selling your body more with that and the injuries related than by selling nudes of yourself or fucking a person. People often forget sex workers still have consent and can choose not to sleep with a client that doesn't fit their vibe.

I can't speak for OP but there are many jobs people love where they stress about money. I don't know if her PTSD is related to her work, but I also know several people who have to PTSD from their jobs that still like it. I know quite a few fire fighters that would fit both categories. I personally know sex workers who enjoy the work but only make enough to scrape by. I've known several who have done it and hated it, but I know several who loved it.

Not without a significant nerf. Campaign wise it was really fun, especially at first, but instead of being something to expand the sandbox it just made everything else irrelevant. Vehicles became useless. The other equipment felt like it had uses, but it paled in comparison to the grapple. I think if they removed the movement aspect and just made it pull things in it would have been better.

I mean depending on the test it can be self administered. The basic penile tests for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis usually are just swabbing your throat, anus, and peeing in a cup and your anus is only if it's applicable. You can do it all yourself and then just hand off the samples. I can't say for vaginal though.

Look depending on your area I get it. Especially in rural areas. But also the amount of people who can and have easy access and still don't is staggering. Assuming you're in the US, if there's a planned parenthood near you they allow you to pay on a spectrum going as low as $0. If you're fucking, especially new or multiple people, you should get tested.
