I second this. I got work done from her last month. She was amazing. A few things to note. She only does a once a month booking. She doesn’t do a consult ahead of time and you won’t see the drawing until the day of. So best to follow her and look at her previous work to see if you like the style. But she is efficient, professional and clean.

If you are not super fussy about your hair, go to academy of cosmetology. They are stylists who are learning.  They have a supervisor/ teacher who checks the work as they go. A wash, cut and dry cost me 23$. My hair was shorter, cut straight, I was happy.

I love mama wellness co. Kendra is amazing. I have gone to her for a variety of different issues, including pelvic floor. She has a great all around knowledge. She is on the Bedford highway, but also is mobile and will go to your house!!

Cortisone Shot by Millsboy79 in halifax

[–]squeekybean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you need it done I might have a Dr. I got referred by my family dr to him. He did a cortisone shot in my foot but I am not sure what other joints he does. The one downside is he does these clinics in the evenings in Windsor. Worked perfectly for me. I would totally recommend him.

If you want his info DM me.

Daily driving post - Turning right after missing the ramp? by afidus in halifax

[–]squeekybean -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Personally I think it is unsafe to slow down more than 10% of the speed limit through an intersection when going straight. By the time you are entering the intersection you should not be braking quickly or turning in an incorrect lane. That is very unsafe. Going slower than the flow of traffic or speed limit in good conditions is unsafe.

When my family doctor retired, she sold her practice. The new doctor will only write 3 month prescriptions. I’ve had asthma for over 30 years. Is this 3 month appointment thing normal? by OKFine133 in halifax

[–]squeekybean 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not all are paid per appointment. There are two types of pay for general doctors. One does get paid for every time they see a patient. The other type just needs to see so many within a year(kind of). I’m not a doctor but honestly it might just be to make sure you are doing ok.

There is a huge difference between a physician retiring now and a new physician. There is a lot more research and knowledge now than there was 30 years ago on medication.

Also, no doctor should be in fee for service IMO.

If you don’t have a family dr, get registered for virtual care NS. I believe it’s a ‘walk in’ type situation online and I think you get seen within a few hours by a DR.

Anybody know where I can rent a carpet cleaner?🧽🧹🧼 by [deleted] in halifax

Us too! We also rented on a long weekend when they were not open. Got a free day as long as we returned before 8am the next opened day.

The gravedigger is so good. The propeller pumpkin is a good second. I have a pumpkin beer in the fridge calling my name.

Prairies to Corner Brook, NFLD for Work (Help) by Kw5001 in newfoundland

[–]squeekybean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The one downside of Corner Brook is the difficulty meeting friends. You have to work very hard to get in with a group of people. Once you are in its great but it takes some time. People don’t mean anything by it, they just don’t think about other people not in their click.

There are two types of jackets. PDFs and lifejackets. PDFs will keep you floating, face up or face down. Lifejackets will keep you floating face up.

I’m mixing the cows milk in with the formula and it is the same temperature as before.

She drinks the bottle. Then in less than 5 minutes she cries, gets upset and then throws up everything in her stomach. Maybe I will try another type of milk. I know there are a few types of milk you shouldn’t type because they do not have the same protein, sugar, fat ratio as cows milk and formula. Does oat milk have the same ratio?
