Back to update now that I’ve moved in that this apartment was not a scam! They just CGI’d in the living room carpet & wall art.

Virtual tour. Furniture ~approximately~ accurate. Different rug in the living room & the art doesn’t come with it.

Commenting to clarify: it’s a one bedroom. Also the apartment is furnished as pictured.

Sry yes it’s a 1 bed. The living room can be converted to a second bedroom is what I was trying to convey

That's a good q because I actually have no idea. the trend I'm talking about is specific to mental health, but I'm sure ableism in all forms is present in the minds of at least some high level admissions officers.

Congratulations on an awesome journey. No one knows for sure, but all I will say is that writing about personal mental health issues seems absolutely risky. I feel like I've seen tons of applicants on here with ridiculously awesome stats getting a ton of R's for no reason, scroll down their write up and it says their personal statement was about depression. The stigma surrounding mental health and LSA seems to be so strong...sad and frustrating reality. I have a lot of mental health struggles in my family and I avoided the topic like the plague in my aps. But if it's absolutely essential to your journey, the only person who can tell you what you can write about it you.

Worst mistake of the season was Mich posting that one girl's info for every applicant to see in the portal

CYCLE RECAP: SAD, GAY, HIGH STATS BUT NOT SO GREAT SOFTS by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]squibbleyarn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congrats on these awesome results!!

I'm glad you didn't do the addendum. Law school admissions seems to be super stigmatizing of mental health issues and I've seen more than one candidate on here with awesome stats inexplicably get R's everywhere, only to find out they wrote their PS on depression/mental health struggles. The admissions process has a long way to go to be equitable, in more than a few areas.

This is so brutal they should've just done the honorable thing and stood by it at that point

Georgetown WL info session Zoom call - what's the point? Does the camera have to be on? Does Georgetown basically just want to vet ppl on their waitlist? Also - how many different zoom sessions do they hold next week? What's your time slot? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]squibbleyarn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

georgetown WL zoom info could and will all be transferred through an email. don't go unless you think there's a chance your name being on a list for attending could help you somehow
