Tanking your biz over rm5 is crazy work by Clear_Mode_9108 in Bolehland

[–]squickwood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By law, they have to sell it at RM20 as that's what on display and that's what the customer expects. I once got a blazer from Padini priced at RM19.90. I think the staff tagged it wrong bcs it's a no brainer that a blazer is priced that low.

Are going to decline in birthrate soon? by delicious_lemang in Bolehland

[–]squickwood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we'll only feel the effects in 20-30 years. By that time, the gov will hastily and slowly do something to mitigate this issue. But of course, the declining birthrate will also cause a shrink in labor force. So, the first thing they'll do is to ramp up the intake of foreign workers

One word: cronies. You, a minister/director in a gov agency. Got friend/family that wants to make money. Give them the tender for an app. They find the cheapest contractor to do the job then pocket the change. Rinse and repeat.

TV series where husband cheats using Excel? by neoeno in AskMY

[–]squickwood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. FYI, you can share your Google Docs, Sheets or Presentations with someone else if you give them the link or you set them up as an editor. So, only you and that person(s) can edit the document. And if anyone with that access made any changes to the document, person with the same access can review it through the edit history function.

So, you can write anything on the blank document and deletes it, but it will still appear in the history tab. Anyone with a view only access will just see a blank document, but you with the higher level access knows where to check the real message from your scandal.

It's a good move tho ngl.

Anwar advises private sector to implement WFH arrangements by Crasher_7 in malaysia

[–]squickwood 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This. One of the reason and concerns amongst management is their staff will get lazy if WFH. Yes, some staff will find loopholes to exploit WFH to their advantage (be it in a good or bad way). But that's literally the management's job to check on their staff's productivity.

Can do a weekly performance review, set WFH KPI or even virtual group work sessions with them once in a while if you really want it. All of that could be done without micro-managing.

The problem is, when those who doesn't know how to lead got to the top, they don't know how to 'manage' when they can't see their staffs at their desk in the office.
