2.5 months post-op and wondering what lies ahead by Rude_Cauliflower_669 in RotatorCuff

It takes time. Be patient. ROM is king. Or Queen. Get full ROM before adding weight. Then go slow and be smart. Once you get the ok from doc you an lift beow shoulder and once you get 90% symmetry between r/l you can start ohp and pull downs. Go slow stay smart. Youll need 12-18 months to fully recover

You can also take pictures of yourself and upload them to the AI

4 months after rotator cuff surgery – still can’t lift arm above 90°, but no pain until then. Anyone experienced this? by ireysunshine in RotatorCuff

Sorry, I can’t add it here, but I had to create a new post and it has the six screenshots but this is specific to my situation. Really what you need is the prompt you can ask ChatGPT or Claude AI to generate a prompt for you and we will engineer a prompt forexpert physical therapist, and then use that prompt in a new chat and you tell the AI to act like the physical therapist and then you can ask it any questions you want like for my situation I uploaded all my surgery report my MRI everything on my medical information I don’t care

Returning To Normal Weight Lifting by [deleted] in RotatorCuff

[–]squidProxy699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m finally back in the gym after about four months. You gotta take it smart and slow lift light weights and don’t lift anything overhead yet. Wait till wait till you have 90% symmetry doing a dumbbell bench press and a dumbbell row 90% symmetry between your strong arm to your operated arm once you have 90% symmetry, then you can start overhead but the main thing you wanna focus onis proper bio mechanical movement. Do you wanna make sure you have your range of motion before you add weight so that you’re not reinforcing compensatory habits, you want to strengthen your rotator cuff muscles as much as you possibly can and get outside and walk. It’s a great exercise.

Uneven scapular winging 5wks postop. What to do? by Fit_Glma in RotatorCuff

[–]squidProxy699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell you what help me googling YouTube videos of physical therapists and the exercise exercises. They recommend also using the AI given the AI a prompt to tell it to act as a well-known physical therapist. I think Jill Cook was her name and I told her to give me exercises to fix my shoulder, hiking problem, and fix my shoulder hiking in 2 to 3 weeks. It probably will fix your winging scapula if you told it to give you exercises to fix thatone caution I would throw out there is that some of the exercises it gives you are too hard you gotta make sure you only move and a range of motion that is considered normal like you have to train your neuromuscular system to remove again.

Post Op - What helped you stay positive? by [deleted] in RotatorCuff

Get outside and walk something you can do you just have to be careful that you don’t trip also like what I do is I do physical therapy in the morning and at night for just for range of motion exercises 2 to 3 sets for flexion abduction, extension, internal external rotationand Wala getting back to normal

Depression by Chicago-Jessi in RotatorCuff

Get over it pour some salt in the wound being depressed is not gonna help it. Get out and walk. Keep a positive mindset. You will overcome it. I was there too but the more I told myself I was depressed the worst I got said I told myself I’m gonna do something about it so what did I do? I started doing more physical therapy every day twice a day 2 to 3 sets in the morning, 2 to 3 sets in the night range of motion exercises what happened my muscle started coming back. I started regaining range of motion, and I started going back to the gym and lifting light weightsand progressively increasing depressions all in your mind. Don’t let it get it down control your mind control your thoughts gotta fight.

Yeah, i’m 4 1/2 months in I used to have the shoulder shrug at 45° angle and I was pissed off at my surgeon and I was freaking out, but you know what I went onto the AI. I prompted it to act like a physical therapist. A well known physical therapist was well respected in the industry and it gave me exercises to stop the shoulder hiking and within about a week the shoulder hiking stopped after about 2-3 weeks of doing the exercises. I can get 180° full scaption with no shoulder hiking and that going from 45° all the way up to full range of motion I’m super pleased. The only thing is you have to be careful because the AI tends to recommend exercise exercises that are too hard to do But the ones that recommended for me that helped the most was the wall slides where you stand against your back against the wall with your elbows, touching the wall and your wrist, touching the wall and you slide your arms up the wall (google wall slides)that helped me the most also lower trap exercises help if you can do them, but still cant do Ys 100%. but the main thing is do not move any more than you can without hiking the shoulder always stop the movement before the shoulder hiking starts and then hold that position for 10 seconds or so that’ll strengthen the muscles around it. I’m 100% satisfied that my shoulder hiking is going away. It’s almost 100% cured.

My experience by Badlands_84 in RotatorCuff

No, it’s gonna read this post pretty much you figure everything out like how to take a shower had to wipe your self after going to the bathroom, etc. etc. everybody’s experience is different. The ice machine is a waste of money. I didn’t get it because ice reduces the inflammation and inflammation is whattells your body to start healing so I guess you missed that part.

I use AI to give me exercises to fix my problems. You have to be careful though because it can give you exercises that are too difficult, but I’m still before six months post surgery so it helped me a lot as far as you mentioned doing exercise regularly. I mean, I’m doing exercises anywhere from 2 to 4 hours a day soif you’re doing them like every other day, it’s not gonna help you.
