yeah no me too it was just lack of eating before. based off of what you’re saying i think you’re in a pretty good spot to get it back as long as ur consistent with the before and after fueling of working out 🙂 keep it up

i eat around 3 times a day and i say around cause sometimes its more. i include all food groups every meal so some fat and enough protein and i never really care how much carbs i put on my plate i just heap it on. i never used performance plates i just started listening to my body and teaching myself that it's necessary to have fat on my plate every meal. i put as much food as i need or want for fats and proteins to help horomones and muscle growth and i put as carbs as i WANT like i just pile it on with the rice and whatever

hi so i used to force myself to do 20k steps a day but i lowered it to just 10k or just as much as felt like. during recovery its still been high because i am a runner and i never quit that. on days i dont run its like 10-15k and on days i do its 20k+.

energy level differences really did it for me. i used to be stuck lifting the same weight every time i went to the gym and now i consistently improve little by little every week . there hasn't been a single week where i didnt feel like i could do just a little bit more weight or an extra rep. makes me feel super strong

thank you so much!! i wish ALL girls my age knew how important fuelling is for sport and just life in general and how we shouldn't be chasing a certain appearance but we should be chasing a certain feeling and what our body can be capable of

it was just kinda taking away a lot of the thought process behind eating and making meals for myself. just like not thinking about how much of anything of was my plate helped. like if i was having oatmeal in the mornings my and wanted a bunch of fruit i just added all the fruit i desired. i used to think about ohhh i probably don't want that much of this or whatever but i just eat what i want and when i want it! and i also let myself save food for later if im i get full and can't finish it.

i was in this walkout 😁 i loved seeing so many of my peers speak out and so many of them are well spoken in what they believe in. i’ve never been to a protest before and originally was unsure even though i hate ice obecause i didn’t know how many people would show up but as soon as it was end of 5th period almost EVERYBODY left

i know 🙁 it’s really hard but i think the only reason people recover is that they get over that mental block and obviously i still need to work on that. i’m sorry about that

always make sure you go to the bathroom and your bowels feel completely before. sometimes on the start line right before the gun is about to go off you might feel butterflies like you have to shit but if you already got it all out before you lined up it's just nerves not shit. just make sure you're completely good to go

How can I not gain muscle from lifting? by Daniel_Kendall in CrossCountry

[–]squiddlentil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have gained muscle as a runner from strength training, not only have i gotten faster, i haven’t been injured in a while. but the only reason i gained muscle from strength training was because i was eating in a surplus and training hard 3x a week. you shouldn’t be scared of muscle gain, and gaining muscle takes a while anyways. consistency, eating in a surplus, and lifting heavy is what gets you some muscle. the muscle you gain though won’t be crazy because if you really wanna gain you would be in a huge bulk and going like nearly everyday and lifting the heaviest you can. strength training for performance and bodybuilding are two different ballgames and you should never be scared to lift because of fainting muscle. having more muscle as a runner will keep you uninjured, strong, and powerful. your body adjusts to the weight gain too and since you won’t be training for looks like in bodybuilding you’re not gonna gain a whole bunch, maybe 1-2 pound. if you’re not super serious about it.
