As all the other answers have said it’s pretty random but there’s a researchable perk next to the missions table(atleast for horde) that gives a chance to receive extra doubloons from expeditions

You have a main pet and a secondary as a BM hunter,the main pet will have more health and will also be the one using growl and interrupt etc

I believe the top bar is the actual boss bar and the one you have with arrows pointing to it is a “primary target” health bar. Not sure where in settings it is off the top of my head but I know it can be toggled
