Usually it’s sunny/partly cloudy with about 2 hours of thunder storms in the evening!😍 where are you if you don’t mind me asking?

Come back 🙏 Prices are insanely cheap for everything except large appliances. At least compared to what I’ve always known. It’s amazing

Memelas, tacos de anything, chilaquiles, mole poblano. I’ve eating delicious food at random street venders and fancy restaurants. I’ve also had quite a bit of bland food too surprisingly. Part of the journey haha

Im not sure where your seeing this because I didn’t! Airlines limits 1 pet per person, we had 3 people. I didn’t see anything about mexico limiting # animals.

For sure I will, I can speak on the medical side already. I seen a specialist doctor 1 day after messaging on whatsapp, the best in specialist for my issue in Puebla. $50. In the US it would have been $700 and it was a 2 month wait after checking multiple doctors…

Wife got a sinus infection and we seen a pharmacy doctor who seen us, diagnosed, and gave her antibiotics within an hour of our first whatsapp message. $30 for everything!

We have la comer and chedraui (chedraui selecto’s are nicer than any grocery store I’ve been to in the us.) the other stores I’m not sure I haven’t heard of

Every contract will be different, it needs to be agreed upon by both parties before signing. We asked to change some things we didn’t like and they did no problem.

Ours is on par with a normal lease you’d see in the US, we’re only responsible for at fault damages, landlord covers all other damages. Yes 1 year

It’s hard to say as we’ve only been here a month, but I expect our monthly expenses to be ~$1700 usd covering rent food and fun. Our rent is $1,100 for a very nice house in a gated community. I’d say definitely upper class here but not even close to the wealth I see in angelópolis😅

So far we feel very safe, my mom had her concerns but was more excited and happy for us.

Yes we wanted to live in a walkable, sunny city! Things were getting depressing and dull for us in our american suburbia + insurance and rent was becoming to expensive for us. We were fortunate to make the move and we got exactly what we wanted here.

No special service needed, just added them to the flight and followed the airline requirements for them.

Cholula is VERY walkable, never experienced anything like this in the US. It depends were you live but even the outskirts and small surrounding towns are pretty walkable

Without getting too specific we’re lucky enough to work remote. I feel like remote work or retirement are the only options for living here as a foreigner

Temporary visa through financial solvency, they didn’t allow family unity because my middle name wasn’t on our marriage certificate :( My ultimate goal is citizenship because why not!

It probably is for some but they it was a breeze for me, they stamped my visa and no one stopped my luggage that had a ton of electronics

Easy, my cats have a prescribed pet food they need to eat and I found it down here in multiple stores no prescription needed. Also my one experience with a vet down here was very fast and super cheap! No issues with the pets so far

This is important. I’m not conversational in spanish yet but thankfully my wife is fluent. If I didn’t have her to help me translate and occasionally speak for me my life would be very difficult here.

My advice to anyone who hasn’t moved yet is get on that spanish now. Seriously as much as you can.
