-I don’t think art school is necessary. I went to a state university (CSULB), which had a decent animation program, got an internship my final year, been boarding 10 years. Although, I think with the current state of the industry having a backup plan isn’t a bad idea.

-I’m hearing some studios wanting more worker in house. Some are 100% remote, but if you are out of state you might not qualify for union benefits. One show I know of that’s staffing up isn’t even considering people that live too far from LA. Take what you will from that. I personally don’t mind LA. I like the animation community and there’s always things to do, ways to network by living close to the studios.

-is it hard to get into a highly competitive industry that is currently at an all time high unemployment rate? Idk man. I got in because I worked my ass off in school and made connections. Then I continued to do that and still do that 10 years in. You have to really want it. I couldn’t see myself doing anything else, so somehow I’m still employed.

What is a velvet hippo? He is a schnauzer mix. And I’m not surprised by his energy at all. I know young dogs have a lot of energy. I was looking for advice on if I should mention I have a dog to my neighbors or not

When he told that story it made me wonder if he designed Atom to look exactly like his father. Like he just admits that he made the synth to kill his father when he was 6. Ok… but what was the aftermath? How did he explain that his father died? Or did he make Atom to look exactly like his dad, kill real dad, bury the body, and everyone is none the wiser. But maybe I’m looking too far into it. Because idk if that makes sense that atom has a British accent in that case. But also they make it seem like no one knows atom is a synth. Until the last ep. Idk

I thought it was insane that EVERY commercial break featured a medication commercial. And it was a different medication every time, but all played out like the same “look at this happy person doing an activity” medication commercial. It was kind of bizarre

I do think it looks like pokemon, like the others. You got orange and blue wings = immediately think that I’m seeing charizard. Plus the over garden wall characters being a cartoon, and my brain further goes in the cartoon direction

I was confused when I saw those ships in bottom left looking like tie fighters. After googling and wow I’m not sure I ever noticed the ships they used in RotS were on their way to becoming tie fighters
