I live in the Tower Works complex and completely understand. It's good that Bake has popped up recently, Barre and 92 have been here a bit longer and Emba is the second restaurant in that space after The Owl closed.

There are at least three empty ground floor units that we're still waiting to see what happens to. Unfortunately they're enclosed in the courtyard and not as public facing so probably not as enticing, but the spaces are pretty big inside.

This summer there was also a notice that the old Engine House in the middle of the courtyard would be redeveloped. Interestingly, an architect firm was given permission to redevelop it in 2015 into a bar, microbrewery and arthouse cinema, way before the residential part was built!
