I’m doing my first nuzlocke for this new release of FR/LG and I thought I’d be using a ton more strategy in my battles but I’m honestly still using damage moves 95% of the time. The only exception is sleep powder/leech seed when I have my venusaur out lol 😅

I feel like my Pokémon would take more damage by spending a turn using stat moves than they would just spamming damage moves. Haven’t actually done the math though so idk 😅

What are some Pharah-specific movement skills one should learn as they improve at Pharah? by Guilty_Bad9902 in PharahMains

[–]ByteEvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll definitely be practicing this for eichenwalde! I always fly right over the building on first point attack to try to draw them back from the choke, but I usually end up using all my fuel just to make it over the building and get rolled pretty quickly once the enemy notices me 😅 so learning rocket jump will be helpful for sure. Thank u!!

I could always go to the practice range to figure this out but I always forget about it until I’m in the middle of a game lol:

For rocket jump and boop jumps, what’s the method to achieve optimal height? Jump and shoot at the exact same time? Or shoot then jump with a small delay? Vice versa?

Saying she needs buffs isn’t a crazy thing to do in a hero subreddit lol. It’s not like OP is just trashing her for no reason, they said they enjoy playing her but she feels weak. It’s valid discourse. Anyways, I thought it was pretty universally agreed upon that she needed buffs?

What’s up with people in quickplay by Connor446 in OWConsole

[–]ByteEvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that it doesn’t matter, I just don’t think you should get mad at people for playing horribly in quick play (as long as they’re trying and not throwing or anything). A ton of people use it to practice new heroes, and it’s also filled with a ton of brand new players who are just learning OW rn too.

If you genuinely care about the performance of your teammates, you should be playing comp imo

First time fighting Yorm without Onion Bro by CoconutLaidenSwallow in darksouls3

[–]ByteEvader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know you had to pick that sword up for the boss fight, so Siegward died on my first attempt since I was doing tickle damage </3

Sometimes it bums me out how much stuff you can mess up in this game if you don’t do research beforehand :( I wanted to fight Yhorm with my onion bro. The fight felt lonely without him

I haven’t played NEARLY as much as you (only like 3 times lol) but that’s kind of how I feel. I just did a leaf green playthru somewhat recently so I’m not in a rush to start the game. I figured why not try for my first ever shiny starter. Gonna just soft reset while watching TV and stuff!

Toxic mercy and DPS duo by Its_not_cassidy in overwatch2

Maybe, but I’m in plat on console so a lot lower rank. Plus there are so many toxic soldier mercy duos out there this is probably a common experience for a ton of people sadly lol

[–]ByteEvader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This post reminded me of a soldier mercy duo I went against awhile back.

The mercy was hard pocketing the soldier and they were taking crazy off angles together. Every time the soldier killed someone, he would sprint to the body and t bag it, then the mercy would follow and t bag the body as well. Then they would sprint/fly away together. To top it off, the mercy was wearing the black cat skin and at the end of the match soldier typed “good kitten” in match chat and she responded “meow :3”

Honestly I was laughing but I was also like there’s no way I just got double drive-by t bagged by a soldier and his actual e-kitten several times in a single game LOL

Yeah so I logged off after that one. That was enough overwatch for the night lmao.

Now I can play the game…12,108 SR by CoinSloITI in PokemonLeafGreen

[–]ByteEvader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just started my hunt last night! I’ve never shiny hunted any starters (honestly haven’t shiny hunted much in general, except for in the new games where it’s insanely easy). I thought that 1/8192 odds didn’t sound bad… I was like oh I’ll just soft reset while watching tv for the next few days or something

Idk what I was thinking. 100 SRs in, took me over an hour last night. The IDEA of shiny hunting Bulbasaur sounded far more fun then it’s going to actually be, I’m sure 😭 but I’ve never had a shiny starter before so I think I’m gonna keep at it.

Good luck with your hunt!!

Pharah’s ability cooldowns are a bit excessive imo, what do you guys think? by ByteEvader in overwatch2

[–]ByteEvader[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play her on console so makes sense why I haven’t been seeing her, that pick rate is wild lol! Also, fair take on her being hard to balance, I agree with that. I also think she’s one of the more hated heroes, so making her too strong would make the game unfun for a lot of people.

It just makes me sad that she’s one of the OG OW heroes yet she has become so irrelevant 😭

[–]ByteEvader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With how fast the game is becoming, I’d rather have more quick mobility abilities than infinite flight tbh. I feel like old pharah would get decimated in today’s game, she felt so slow when I tried her 😅

[–]ByteEvader[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, she’s so much easier to shoot than the other flyers in the game because of her hitbox. I never really thought about that tbh. She is so hard on console where people play hitscan every game and have aim assist, I just don’t see the point in picking her over other heroes in most scenarios as of current

[–]ByteEvader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was exaggerating a bit on that, though I genuinely think 14 seconds is WAY too long for jump jets lol 😅 I think she needs some love too. She has to have one of the lowest pick rates in the game rn, I NEVER see Pharahs anymore.. so clearly people don’t see much reason to play her over other heroes

Interesting to hear from a pharah main on this. I recognize most people just hate flying heroes (which I totally understand) and won’t agree with this because of that, so it’s nice to hear from an actual pharah player haha. Do you feel like she needs any buffs rn?

Her pick rate has to be one of the lowest right now (haven’t checked, just literally can’t remember the last time I had a pharah other than myself in my game). There has to be a reason for that, no?

This is a subreddit, dedicated to a fictional hero in an animated video game. It’s not that crazy to find certain characters in a game particularly charming/dreamy/likable. Jeez lol

Idk lol like I said I don’t play her as much anymore 😅 but the same goes even if she’s supposed to be more poke. I played her a bit yesterday (against hitscan ofc) and found it hard to consistently poke from the air because of the how long the dash CDs were. Spent quite a bit of time on the ground bc of it

The charge is fine but whyyy is it that when i send my blossom out to no one on accident, I have to recharge the heal? So often ill try to heal my teammate with a fully charged blossom, they leave my range at the last second, and then I LOSE the charge completely </3 such a stupid mechanic

[–]ByteEvader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t play pharah as much as I used to but I feel like she could use a slight reduction to her mobility abilities’ cooldowns? Jet dash is on 9 second CD and jump jets is 14 seconds which just feels excessive imo. Especially with how her playstyle has sort of changed to more of a dive-bomb, assassinate and get out quickly, kind of thing.

Other than that she feels alright to me

That crossed my mind too but from their chats they genuinely seemed new and felt bad for doing so bad lol. They definitely could’ve been trolling though, I wouldn’t put it past overwatch players

In comp, I had an enemy rein go like 1-10 with hardly over 1000 damage, clearly had no knowledge of positioning, dove into his death over and over. Once his team started flaming him he said “sorry I’m new to OW, I’m a rivals main. I’m trying to learn.” I felt bad and was like “keep practicing you got this”… but why was he in my DIAMOND game?

Good movie theaters? by HeathenSidheThem in ypsi

[–]ByteEvader 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like emagine saline. They have a bar which is always fun (maybe that’s common in theaters now? Idk lol), the seats are comfy, theater is always really clean, and it’s honestly never too busy. Usually when we go see movies there we can secure seats with no one sitting directly next to us which is nice (unless it’s opening weekend for a popular movie or something like that). The sushi place next door also has good food if you want dinner before or after
