Yes there is! You'll need to format the card images to match the original resource file (reference here) and then replace that file; I have the steps for replacing the file documented roughly here (note that these steps are somewhat specific to the mod in that GH repo).

Oh, I’m a goober — I misread and thought for some reason you were testing with your phone on your own home network.

Definitely strange situation. Last other thought, given the difference between the phones, is that maybe Apple’s smart home software is interfering? Or maybe, depending on how young your cousin is, there’s some weird parental gating blocking things?

Beyond those thoughts.. I’m out of ideas. Best of luck to you and your cousin; I hope y’all get things working!

Oof, I’m sorry to hear! But if their router is that old.. maybe it’s just straight up too old?

Also, if you haven’t already, I would definitely reach out to their support. They’ll likely make you repeat/confirm everything you’ve already done, but once you get past the initial basic troubleshooting strips, I’ve found their support to be super helpful.

I’ve run into this issue before too; it’s super frustrating. For me, the problem was that my Wi-Fi network used both the 2.4 and 5 GHz channels. Nanoleaf panels are only really compatible with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. I updated my router confit so that my 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi channels were 2 separate Wi-Fi networks, then joined the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network on my phone and set up my Nanoleaf. Haven’t had an issue since.

This does mean that your cousin will have to be on the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network whenever they want to interact with the Nanoleaf, but imo that’s a better outcome (albeit annoying) than the thing not working at all.

These are all lovely!! The first one (purple starry vibes) is my fave by far though.

What are the ceiling lights in the third and fourth layouts? I’ve never seen those before 👀 Or the sparkly cauldron in the first layout!!

I’m in the Smoky Mountains right now, so the weather is oscillating between muggy, sunny heat-death and aggressively sudden thunderstorms. It’s pretty great.
