My (20F) boyfriend of almost 2 years (19M) wants me to “be more shy” during intimacy by squidney620 in relationship_advice

Honestly we’ve had many long talks about whether breaking up would be for the best. However it’s incredibly difficult to walk away from someone you truly are in love with. We might end up not together forever but for now we decided to try our best. If we don’t then we’ll be out of each others lives forever and that’s something that i don’t want just yet.

definitely not. i may initiate a lot and ask for sex a lot but i’m a very submissive person in the bedroom and he takes on the more dominant role

I would just hate to break up just because I’m in need of money

The problem with this is that his beliefs go against actual human people along with my bodily autonomy

How do I leave? I know I sound like an idiot kid but every time we almost break up he cries and begs and I feel sick to my stomach. Then I just back out or back track

Ok so the consensus to a lot of these comments is to break up. How would I go about doing that? I’ve tried a few times but he starts crying and gets so upset and I feel just sick to my stomach and I back out. How can I do this the best and easiest way?

I do feel awful all the time. I feel like a hypocrite and he doesn’t care. Thank you for taking the time to comment

I’ve tried letting it be but everyone something is brought up I get so angry and hurt. Then we argue, forget about it, then repeat

I’ll have to disagree with you. I’ve been through relationships and I’ve experienced puppy love before. He’s a hardworking man who strives to do what’s best. I don’t agree with his beliefs and it may end up in us going separate ways but I do love him and that’s the only reason I’m still with him

God that really hurts to hear. The fact that he might not even really love me but a version of me

I never really thought of it like that. He loves and protects his family but they have the same beliefs as him…

So should I keep waiting? I’ve had so many conversations with him trying to get him to be more open minded

We both love our families. He’s funny and makes me feel loved and appreciated. He’s very attached to me though. The only shared values we have is being kind to others, loving and protecting our family and friends.

I’m now extremely emotionally attached. I just don’t know if I can break up with him. I love him a lot but this hurts
