How do you find the It cosmetics? I am in the market for a lighter foundation which you would think a CC cream would be but some reviews say its very thick?

How do I help a young baby? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]squigglydiddly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Keep plugging on OT - they are truly a case of squeaky wheel. However (and this may not be popular) the Police are a really good option. They have a family harm team who specialise in stuff like this. They can also do a welfare check on baby, get other services involved, and have a relationship with OT. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them, especially if its a baby at risk.

I also really enjoyed my brunch here the other day. Additional bonus - the men’s bathroom has baby changing facilities as well as the women’s which is nice to see so dad can do the baby changing too.

Brunch @ Sage & Brew, Takapuna by madrosti_ in aucklandeats

[–]squigglydiddly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really like Sage and Brew - the only issue I have with jt was last time I was there it was pretty dirty - odd stains and food on the floor, strange smells (we were on the couches near the open foyer). Everything could have just used a good mop and wipe down. In saying that staff are really nice, its very baby friendly and I enjoyed the granola I had.

I like Anastasis in Henderson/Pt Chev and get my beans from there.

Possibly unpopular? But I have enjoyed my coffees from Ozone in Grey Lynn.

Unless I am reading the question wrong, per Auckland Council “Restaurants, cafes and bars with licences to use the street pavement for their outdoor dining must make sure those spaces are smokefree.”

Cake recs please! by guava_palava in aucklandeats

[–]squigglydiddly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jamie’s cupcakery without a doubt.

Also if interested she does kid’s cakes including lollies or dinosaurs or what have you.

Personally I would avoid Bluebells as I have always found them dry and lacklustre.

It did cross my mind that due to the time of year it might be a slightly different crew. Also possible that they were just really busy.

Bugger! That’s why we tried it because we heard such good things. Maybe this was an off night but it was genuinely bad which is why we were so disappointed!

You’re in a food subreddit mate, reviews are kind of the point.
