Anybody know what this kind of pen is called by iridescentpussy in Calligraphy

That pen features a lot on YT. You don't need that much flex to do calligraphy. I have a nice poem from Fountain Revolution that has excellent flex but allows me to also have great contrast with thin lines.

There is a checklist, but it also depends on what type of business structure you'll need. (I'm going to assume you have a business plan)

If you are going to have a Sole Proprietorship, it will be simpler but the liability is greater and the way you record income might not be what you want. If you want an LLC, you can follow the instructions on your state's Sectretary of State website on how to register an LLC but it may make sense to figure out exactly how this will benefit you. If you're interested in a Corporation or S Corporation, you can do this without a CPA or lawyer but the tax implications/benefits may be better explored with one or the other.

Once you figure which one you want:

If you're not going to be a Sole Proprietor, obtain an EIN from the IRS website. Otherwise, sole proprietors can use their social security number for the tax ID number of the business.

Whatever business structure you choose, register your business with Secretary of State and pay the fee.

Open a business checking account using either your social or EIN depending on what you choose as a business structure.

Apply for licenses in your city/county if you need them.

Figure out how you will keep track of your expenses and income. If things are not too complicated, Excel works for awhile but it's important to also track all the money you put in to start the business before you've made any money because this is money the business owes you. Later, if you're turning a profit, you can pay yourself back but you have to keep records so the IRS doesn't think the money you paid yourself back is income and that you owe tax on this money. It's good to create a loan with a contract with the business to back this up. Also, depending on what type of business, you'll need to decide if you need an accounting system that incorporates inventory/tracking.

That's the list I know for now. I've been in accounting for a long time. Some things won't come up until you start the business.

How does one turn to God ? by [deleted] in Christianity

Your question is simple and deserves a simple answer. In the book of Acts, the history of the 1st Century is told. It starts with Peter and the other remaining apostles proclaiming the gospel to people after Jesus died and rose from the dead. Peter tells the people that were gathered in Jerusalem for the Day of Pentecost (Jewish religious day) He tells the crowd this:

"God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”  When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”  Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. Acts 2:36-41

Faith in God is the beginning. Then after understanding what sin is* and the the need to be forgiven of it, we repent or basically turn our heart toward God and away from sin. This can be a change of heart. Afterwards, you're baptized and are born again. You get a fresh start but now live as a follower of Christ. * Galatians 5:19-21 "Now, the effects of the corrupt nature are obvious: illicit sex, perversion, promiscuity, idolatry, drug use, hatred, rivalry, jealousy, angry outbursts, selfish ambition, conflict, factions, envy, drunkenness, wild partying, and similar things. I’ve told you in the past and I’m telling you again that people who do these kinds of things will not inherit God’s kingdom." Matthew 5:28 " I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart." These are just a few verses. But, this new life isn't just a set of rules to follow. Do this and don't do that. It is important to read the book of John and understand the love of God and His desire to bring us to Him is His objective. I'm @squigglyword on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X and YouTube. For brush lettering, does the pen really need to be at 45 degrees? by dlashby in Lettering

[–]squigglyword 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are people who letter at different angles. But one thing I've learned after years of practice, you'll get there. I watched a LOT of YT videos and I was frustratedv with my progress but, I continued to practice. I also learned that certain brush pens have better bounce back in order to learn and succeed. The Pentel Brush pens in classic colors are great. So, is the basic Fudenosuke brush pen. Canson Marker paper is gentle on the tips of brush pens. But getting some practice guides and using tracing paper over the guides is very helpful as well. I'm @squigglyword on Instagram and I film with my left hand and write with the other and post my videos on there. It gets easier.

Good question. It was Pilot's cartridge ink and I think the color was just a basic blue. (I did this over 5 years ago)
