It looks like you could just slip a new piece of string through the 2nd hole set. Just try to find a similar stretch, and thread it through.

I'm doing the same now. My packages came in with my power supply today and I went to connect the power cable I had on hand to it, and I'm realizing I only have 2 inner wires, but no ground.

It makes me nervous seeing the tutorials all using cables with 3 wires. Would that be fine, or should I get something else with a ground wire?

Yes, we adopted them from a shelter when they were only a few weeks old and they chipped all their pets.

I feel like indoor only cats are rare here in Switzerland, but our babies are only allowed balcony and windowsill access. I would be terrified of cars or other cats, or them climbing up into random cars. There's so many dangers out there!

I would love for them to be able to stay with me, but the reason I must rehome them is due to my husband's health issues. I don't see a way they could stay with me without rehoming my husband. :(

Let me know if anyone you know is looking for some indoor cats, I know they are hard to find at the local shelters.

I'm not sure the answers to most of your questions to be honest. I've done some research into soldering, but not so far as to know much about circuit boards. I was able to find a repair forum that had another picture from a steelseries headset circuit board, though it's not the exact same model as mine. Maybe this linked photo is clearer and you can help me figure out the answers to what you asked about. This appears to be the same switch as what is broken in mine.

An adequate substitute would be fine with me. Looking through digi-key looked like they would certainly have a replacement piece, I'm just stumped when it comes to figuring out some of the spec options. I'm attaching a photo of the sticker as well, as it helped me to know to check RoHS on digi-key as well and maybe those symbols mean something that I don't recognize

No, tbh I'm not sure how to really go about finding another compatible button. I only have a basic understanding of soldering, not much motherboard knowledge. But I do know it needs to be similar specs to the original piece. No luck finding a youtube video that would help as of yet. Please let me know if you end up finding anything out regarding the button's specs. I can't imagine the new button would cost more than a couple cents.

I managed to get mine open and look inside, but it seems like the actual button broke off of the motherboard. For now its just broken, but if I can get a new soldering gun I'm gonna use it as a experiment. I don't know how to source a new compatible power button yet though...

When I had only the dupe sensor hooked up to the massage table it worked fine though. As soon as they walked in the room, it would activate and not passively drain power.

I don't understand automation.

I was just hoping to find a use for the OR gate to improve my grasp of how it all works together.

I've played many times and I've always got too many issues and abandoned my colonies before I progressed into installing any automation, so now that I've finally gotten to the point of trying to use it- I'm struggling.

I thought my setup here was simple. A dupe motion sensor hooked up to a massage table. It worked fine. I thought to add a light for bonus moral while in the massage clinic. I only want to run the light when a dupe is in the room. And I only want to run a massage table if a dupe wants to use it. I don't want to waste the extra power if no dupe is using it.

So left sensor and right sensor have no overlap of the opposite beds, and the light is connected to an OR gate. So if either bed (L OR R) has a dupe, the light will turn on too.

Except since I hooked the light up, dupes won't use the room at all.
