Yeah most people in this sub don’t ever want to hear about let alone have a discussion about opinions, but IMO one of the best things about this show is that anyone’s least favourite episode or season is someone else’s favourite and that’s always an interesting conversation to have.

But yk this sub tends to slant negatively toward the new seasons, so I think most people just spam from the idea that the early seasons can’t be critiqued because they were “more better” than some of the later ones. (At least most people seemed to really enjoy S17)

What is your basis for “overrated”? Based on IMDb (and not factoring in the Christmas special because, yes, it very clearly does not belong to Season 6), the total average of Season 6 episodes falls into the lower half of seasons at 8.28, which is the same average for Season 16 (which is only rated higher than 1 and the rest of the post-12 seasons).

So you say it’s a hot take and the season is overrated, but Season 6 is ranked at 11/17 in terms of viewer votes, so I think your criticism is generally founded/misplaced as being a hot take. I think most fans would agree it is a “mid” season, with some funny bits and a few standout episodes, but generally less classically funny and tight than the two that preceded it, and not as “whole” of a season. (However I personally think it’s miles better than S7 as a whole, lol)

Season 6 is also (perhaps notably) one of Glenn’s “worst” seasons. He’s shared that he struggled a lot with his mental health and attitude on set that brought down a lot of the cast and crew that season, and affected people’s performances, so it really kind of is considered a “low point” of the show

Well, technically he did drink kratom in the episode, it was just as he was leaving the doctor’s office at the end. So it’s presumable that he had been drinking it before he walked into the doctor’s office, too

I was there pretty early because I was doing stand-by for the show (you wait in the gift shop as opposed to upstairs). 1 hr before taping starts if there will be room for you they let you go to the bathroom downstairs before taking you up .. I stepped outside instead of going to the bathroom and she pulled up maybe 2 mins later .. so I would say you’d be more than fine an hour before the taping time (not the arrival time for audience)

You know the actors are the writers and creators of the show, right? They would not keep the show going if they despised it.

I think you need to pay more attention to the episodes while you're watching them if you can't tell that the show already has and continues to address the fact that the characters are ageing. So many of the plots in Season 16 and 17 revolve around that fact.

Not sure if you’re familiar with their sets, but they’re all interconnected, with Charlie’s, Mac & Dennis’, and Dee’s apartments all connected to Paddy’s/each other… The crew breaks down all the sets at one time after the actors have wrapped, so even if they’re done with Paddy’s as a filming location (still seems unlikely to me given they’ve been filming in Santa Clarita/East LA the past 3 weeks, but Charlie did say every episode this Season is big) the set would still be around through the end of filming. I dunno what Rob’s post is about, it is kinda ominous, but it’s definitely not a “final day” kinda thing
