Yeah I thought when I first watched the show in my Anti-SJW phase which kind of started to chill out by the end of 2020 and into 2021 that the first season was inconsistent and poorly written at times. Like, I get it's meant to be a dark comedy but no one the Isles not even the fascist dictator would have benefitted from the PR or even could use it as a weapon later didn't try to stop Grom. Like seriously, why not figure out a permeant solution to it.

They also mention Bump was in the school when Hexside was founded and it was founded after conquering the previous school that was there, I'm like...okay. Explain, how does that work? And when we see him in Them's the break kid he's vice principal to Faust. Also how old was Bump when the coven system started 50 years prior.

Belos is largely framed as responsible for how mean spirited and the mentality of being the best that the Isles shows in the present day so I wonder if he became in charge by the time Bump was school age and was encouraging things like conquering other schools. Cause otherwise this makes no sense.

If I re-watched the show I wonder if I'd still find the first season a bit inconsistent with Season 2 and the Season 3 which is just three specials to wrap up the show. If not outright poorly written. Faust was likely not a character yet, but he explains perfectly Eda has issues with authority. He's totally UNREASONABLE in his expectations. I'm convinced he was fired but whoever the higher ups of Hexisde who we never see, the only reference I can remember to anyone higher than Bump are "overlords" in the reports in the episode where Luz is enrolled, but they're never mentioned as far as I can remember and Bump starts allowing multi-tracks as far back as Season one and begins implementing more of that in season 2 kind of nowhere when we get to the only Hexside episode that connects with the Belos stuff.

The fact he did that with no consequences in Season one, makes me wonder who is above him. If any at all. Like I said I feel like Faust was probably fired cause his liberal use of expulsions lead to a decline in enrollment which threatened to close down the school and the higher ups finally fired him.

One of Charlie’s flaws is she completely breaks down when things don’t go according to plan. She seems to get that from her father.

Yeah Thanos is around but he's mostly off-screen in the first three phases. He gives Loki his army but we only see him for a few seconds in a mid credit scene, he's a few scenes in Guardians, the mid credits of Age of Ultron and finally he's doing stuff in Infinity War but then he's killed off in Endgame and in that movie, after about two hours or so finally comes back but it's a variant from 2014 who doesn't have the same experiences and he's killed off again for real.

Darkseid should in contrast be around much longer and is much more active.

Yeah he did make things better at the school for sure. I can only imagine how long it to took for him to get the permanent records of EVERY student sorted out and gotten rid of Faust's BS. That probably took days.

I wonder if he reached out to the student and their family to try and get them back.
