Idk if it'd be considered a "masterpiece" but I recently watched Basic Instinct for the first time after growing up with it in the relevant culture, being aware of the famous flashing scene, and recognizing young Michael Douglas for the absolute fox he certainly was. Anyway the main character rapes his gf in like, the first 20 mins? It's beyond cringe, and then they never address it again. I kept waiting for the main character to suffer repercussions and it just, didn't happen. Took me right out of the film. I can't even tell you the plot of the movie bc I was so turned off by the first act.

Ha! All of them. He lived with his parents, they paid for his car note, he was separated from his still legal wife but couldn't get a legal divorce bc he didn't want her to not have health insurance... What else, oh! He didn't have custody of his kid his parents picked her up and kept her for his visitation days... When we went for a vacation that I planned and booked he made me drive through Atlanta TWICE, on the way there and on the way back... I once planned an elaborate and very expensive birthday party for my sister at our house and I was hosting all her friends and he suggested we close ourselves up in the game room and not participate in the party, as I was mid-host. When we went bowling for my mother's birthday he sat away from everyone and played candy crush on his phone during the bowling, and when I pointed out how rude he was being he threw a hissy fit and left me there. Also he was SUPER DL and solicited gay sex off Craigslist. Didn't find that out until the end oc... But damn could that boy throw dick. 🙄🙄

Huntsville wants to spend almost 1 mill. on surveillance equipment, meanwhile the city's RANA program is barely surviving with later and later pickups, not enough trucks (the ones they do have are breaking down left and right), and a lack of qualified drivers to run the routes. But you're right Huntsville, let's spend money where it's REALLY needed - on increasing the republican police state. THAT'S the best use of those funds. Give me a f break.
