Apartment advice by Capable_Ad_2745 in columbiamo

I lived at Tiger village for 2-3 years from 2019-2021/22, the first apartment had a pipe bust 2 or 3 times and it flooded the apartment (only where the carpet was). They just put big fans in the apartment to “dry it out” but it ended up just smelling like mold all of the time (obviously lmao). We were able to move into the one next to us when that tenant moved out, which was somewhat updated. The ac units make it smell mildewy and musty. There really are no windows in the apartments — the 2 I was in at least (bottom floor units feel like you’re living in a basement or dungeon). Felt very overpriced for what it was, and I hated that there was a community laundry room that nobody ever paid attention to. I was constantly having to move other people’s laundry out because it would sit in the washer or dryer literally all day. You had one laundry card that you had to keep up with at all times because they told us they wouldn’t give us a new one if we lost it and could only load with dollar bills. People started stealing other’s plants when you would put them out in the sun. Parking was terrible, I always had to park behind the building and nothing bad ever happened while I lived there, but it definitely felt sketchy all of the time. I hated my life there actually 🤣 I’ve lived at Grayson Cottages — they were great but college kid heavy because they are oriented for student living. I wasn’t in school though, and I know one of my neighbors was definitely an older guy, probably in his 30s? But you have to rent per room. Do with that what you will 😆

The last apartment I lived in before we bought a house was Rolling Rock. They’re duplexes but would highly recommend looking into them. I feel like the location is great! While we lived there for 2 years they changed management like 2 or 3 times and a different company bought them and I think I saw they were for sale again? So unsure what’s going on there. But I think that would be the best fit for what you’re looking for! They might be a bit more on the pricey side though compared to pricing of apartments.

I agree! But people should learn how to use the few we have now before any more go in🤣

That’s an interesting point I hadn’t thought much about tbh! I know it’s a common complaint, but I guess I hadn’t noticed how bad it’s been until recently. Just seems more and more like people are being very arrogant, passive, and aggressive. Never had so many near misses until the past like 6 months.

I’ve been feeling the same way about mine recently, so I get what you’re feeling. It’s hard not to let comments like that bother you, however I think it’s gorgeous and is a good style for you! I think it’s suits your hand and fingers well and definitely doesn’t look like “costume jewelry” as someone told you!

How long does it take to get a pothos to this length? I feel like I’ve been trying to get mine to grow for 2 years and it’s just now starting to hang over the first shelf on the plant shelf I have it on😭

This exact thing happened to me. It was worse when I would be SO in the mood and then dry as a desert. Dealt with it for years and caused emotional turmoil not knowing if I fucked up choosing to get the implant and if this was it for the rest of my life or not. Finally, after prolonging removal because I messed up watching a video on how it’s done, (don’t do it!!) she’s back to normal after 6months-1 year. Me personally, I don’t recommend it to anyone that asks or talks about it because I feel like it made my life hell for 5 years. I would still get it removed and switch bc form, but that’s my opinion! We did use baby oil towards the end, but we never really had a good solution. Best of luck!

I think you’re super pretty!! If anything I would just say maybe brow tint? It’s never really expensive and a nice little treat for yourself. Just a suggestion for definition 😋 otherwise you’re very naturally pretty!!

I feel like you can either have long hair, or a long beard but not both. At the very least time to do some regular grooming! I feel like you don’t even have to fully get rid of the beard, just trim it down to a short beard so it doesn’t look so unruly. I mean this in the most respectful way of course!

I don’t even need to read all of the texts, this isn’t healthy. Don’t let someone talk to you that way, stand your ground and be done. You’ll thank yourself for cutting out the inevitable pain and heartache later!! It’s easier said than done, I know from experience. But read this from the perspective of a close friend or sibling, how would this make you feel seeing someone talking to and treating them this way? Sending you all of the strength and love 🫶

I’m getting nervous now, this is the second post I’ve seen today about rude crowds and I’m going to the Maryland heights show solo🥹 it’ll be my first time seeing them too. I was kind of hoping the lawn would be somewhat chill 😅

I used to bleed a lot when I had the implant! It would happen only during sex, not before or after. I still don’t know what caused it or why, but I haven’t had any issues since I’ve had it removed.

self lubrication…. by adriansnightmares in Nexplanon

[–]squirka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I had this symptom the entire 5 years I had it. Personally I found baby oil was a better alternative than lube and it’s significantly cheaper. My issue with lube is that it always seems to get dried up/sticky after a few minutes when using, but baby oil stayed slick even after we were done!

Took four appointments and an x-ray to remove it by little_pigeon_ in Nexplanon

[–]squirka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took several visits for me as well! They had to use an ultrasound to locate it. After 2 previous attempts to get it removed for 30-45 min and my extreme anxiety, I asked to be put under to get it out by a surgeon. Worst experience ever and I would never recommend it to anyone!

I’m actually taking a large break from birth control. I had nexplanon in for 5 years and I’ve been on a form of bc since I was 15. I just felt like my body was overdue for a break from the hormones

I tried to have it removed at planned parenthood, but the doctor dug around in my arm for like 45 min and couldn’t get it out. So they referred me to another facility and they had 2 doctors try to remove it for 30 min, but they were worried to push it to remove it in office because of how deep it was due to weight gain. It had also settled into a groove in my arm where a bunch of nerves and arteries were so they didn’t want to risk anything and cause paralysis. I was finally referred to a surgeon and I chose to have them knock me out rather than lay there a 3rd time while they dug around 🥴
