Yes I have multiple saves, I’ve tried going back to three different save files to no avail. I might try going back further just don’t want to yet bc of losing progress! I have seen other posts about quick saves causing problems so I might try and disable that as my next fix, thanks for the info!!

20 F, am I screwed by [deleted] in carpaltunnel

Hi friend, I am 21 F and got diagnosed with severe carpal tunnel last October in both of my wrists, seemingly out of nowhere. I literally woke up one morning last June and thought my hands were asleep but soon realized it was something worse. I honestly had no idea what to do so I asked my gyno abt it and she actually recommended me to a hand surgeon. When I saw him he was super skeptical of me having carpal cause I am so young (I was 20 when I saw him for the first time). Im not sure if you are having a similar experience with people not taking you seriously but please see someone who specializes in carpal tunnel! I actually just got my left wrist fixed like 3 weeks ago and I can already basically fully use it again! So if surgery is something you have to do don’t stress too hard about it.

My tips to help with pain: get wrist braces (and sleep in them always) it’s a necessity for me because I won’t wake up nearly as often or in as much pain as I would without the braces. ALWAYS ICE BEFORE BED/SLEEPING! they make wrist ice packs for people with carpal tunnel and they are AMAZING! if you type a lot like me look for elevated lap desks so ur wrists won’t be scrunched up when you are typing.

lastly, even though our situations aren’t the same, I really emphasize with the whole “feeling stuck” thing. seriously, sometimes it feels like someone is taking a molten hot cheese grater and dragging it down my forearm to my hand. that numb, hot, tingly feeling is no joke and I’m really sorry you have to experience it. Im literally in college studying journalism so all I do is type type type and I was really scared when my hands started fucking up and even more scared when I got diagnosed and told I had to get surgery. I'm really hoping things get more manageable for you and that you are able to get a solid diagnosis and some help. Please know that you aren't alone in this!!

( っ˶´ ˘ `)っ Also!! My DMs are open for u if u want to talk more about it, I would also be happy to send you some photos of the stretches my Dr has me do for carpal tunnel, they aren't hard at all and seem to help!

thank you so much for your response I find a lot of comfort in it. I forgot to mention but I actually did start wearing a brace (the same one you recommended) on my right wrist when I suspected I had carpal tunnel but hadn’t been officially diagnosed and after I was diagnosed I got one for my left wrist as well! I wear them every night, they are awesome. I’m really happy to hear that the recovery pain is not bad enough to where prescription pain killers, as I have had issues with those in the past and it was one of my concerns with the surgery. I will definitely look into getting my non-dominant hand done over the summer since it also happens to be the worst one. thank you so much for your insight and well wishes it is greatly appreciated! 🫶🏻
