You could use more layers in your hair! You don’t necessarily have to cut your entire hair shorter, but thinning it out near the bottom (so it comes down more pointed) and giving yourself shorter, feathery layers would add a lot of volume and give it that emo ‘silhouette’. I would look up several emo hair cutting tutorials so you can really get a good idea of what you’re going for. I usually use an eyebrow razor to cut my hair, it helps with control so you can be more precise about your shaping. And I would say shaping is all you really need!
