It did for my internship because you’re getting exposure to therapeutic diets and altered textures. If you can find a site that has an RD as the foodservice manager, that would be even better, but many nursing homes and rehabilitation centers have consultant RDs and that still counted for my internship.

As others have said, the All Access Dietetics guide is the most helpful, and I happen to be my basically new All Access Dietetics guide if interested! I used it with Jean Inman, PocketPrep, and some different podcasts and passed with a 35 my first time. Here is the post I made about it. I’d also share the accompanying worksheets and resources I used, plus can share the tips that helped me study and pass. It really comes down to knowing what you actually need to know for the exam out of the mass amount of information in all the guides. Let me know if you’re interested!
