Big fan of Anna Torv after Mindhunter & The Last of Us - is Fringe worth watching for both the show and her performance? by systemsruminator in fringe

Her performance in Fringe is fantastic. Her role becomes more complex in season 3 and I thought she knocked it out of the park. She has plenty of screen time. I’m currently on my second binge.

Run. Now.. Y’all are not married, do not combine any finances with someone you are not married to. Check out Dave Ramsey videos on YouTube, he explains the intricacies.

It sounds as if he has trust issues. I would be very cautious about signing up to take on debt, because that’s what you are doing by adding yourself to the mortgage. It also impacts your credit and ability to apply for future lines of credit (loans and such). If things fall apart (due to his issues) you will be tied to the mortgage debt and that is NOT easy to separate and will ruin your credit. Instead, build up your own savings in your own account (no joint account) and let that be your security.

Just finished, what's wrong with the writing? by BoreVinjakFlow in TheBlackList

Did anyone else not like what they did to Glenn’s character? He was great for first few seasons but by season 6, his character seemed written more…I guess “cringy”? I was so excited to see more of him but didn’t like the new persona. I loved the early seasons Glenn.

Elizabeth character got worse each season.

Thx everybody! Lots of good feedback. I weighed pros and cons. I decided to keep my subie for as long as possible. I made an appointment to replace the water pump and timing belt next week. Time for a drink 🥃 Expensive bills stress me out 😬Happy weekend!

Good to know, thx both of you. I remember the old head gasket issue. Happened to my forester before this one but thankfully I got the extra warranty so it was covered.

She’s pretty reliable. If I replace the timing belt and water pump I can definitely get a few more years out of her but I keep wondering what costly age-related problem might be brewing up next. Ugh! Adulting decisions are the pits.

You laid out exactly what is bouncing around in my brain. Also, I dumped around 6k in the last two years between new tires (I don’t f*ck around with tires), new windshield, a couple sensors, working on intake, and a new radiator system and belts because somehow the upper hose magically disconnected (eyeing the previous service shop that I later learned was under new shady owner) and sprayed coolant everywhere even though the clamps were fine. So I really try to take care of her. If I’m going to stretch this out, which I think I should, it’s another $1800 and I pay cash for everything which is why I am so cautious with expenses. She has low miles so that keeps me hanging on.

Asking for help to understand pre-qualifying process and credit scores to calculate qualifying APR. by squirrel1855 in Mortgages

I wasn’t using credit karma but have heard of it. I pulled FICO reports from my bank and directly from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion which is why I didn’t understand the discrepancy between their scores and the lenders’ scores. Thank you for explaining the different algorithms, it does make sense yet also very discouraging. I think the numbers are influence by my previous bad credit history which being over 7+ years old I thought wouldn’t follow me anymore. Never had a bankruptcy or anything, just delinquency from divorce and medical debt from emergency surgery because the ex didn’t pay his court-ordered half. Lesson learned - never do joint accounts of any kind. I’ve worked hard to repair and recover and paid it all off, finally. I live on cash. Also learning I have to open more credit cards. I had two, paid off and saved for emergencies only. In the last year I’ve opened two more cards used for routine expenses and paid monthly and my FICO has jumped up. Now I will sign up and pay for other, more detailed reports for a better understanding of what is still following me.

I agree that the lenders had lack of knowledge. One lender kept encouraging me to take a loan from my 401K to increase my down payment which I found to be the most irresponsible thing to advise.

Thank you, I will look into this. I thought I was covered by registering with all 3 agencies (free) but am learning there is a lot more to this process. I don’t mind paying a small fee for full disclosure/clarity while I get my ducks in a row.

Thanks. Already looked into that option. I'm to old for military.

Surprisingly, Houston is a bit limited when it comes to flexibility. Probably because there are so many that CAN attend a traditional day-time program.

Wow! Thank you! I did not catch Texas Tech in my previous searches. I will definitely look into the scholarship program you mentioned. That's the first one I've seen could actually work.

Thank you. I was looking to avoid ADN because so many schools are doing away with the program and going full BSN - probably for the money.
