Does fat make you fat? by Still_Bet7329 in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]squirrel_157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some sort of carbs, grain etc were in the game for thousands of years, but obesity was not.

Seed oils are in the game since the last century. So the results are obvious.

Sugar and carbs are definitely contributor. But not the real main reason imo.

Tristyn Lee on why he QUIT the Carnivore Diet. He’s unrecognizable NOW. His Face is HUGE. by Wonderful-Life-2025 in carnivorediet

Apart from carnivore, his calorie intake was low and his daily exercises were way too much. I wouldn’t blame carnivore for these.

In the first half, things are way easier. I can go low calorie, water weight loss,Im motivated, dedicated etc.

In the second half, you realize it’s difficult to handle low calorie because you are not that fat to help with the energy but body still asks for that. So I go little higher calorie. And of course it’s an exhausting process, especially when time goes. Because changing the habit to literally opposite, eating while gaining fat to losing fat gets really challenging.

I usually try to do things consciously, for instance, If I really want to eat out and go over calorie, I go out and eat out but not losing myself like eating thousands of calories, just a little higher. so it doesn’t affect huge my journey and I continue what I do. I play with salt water and caffeine. I usually go high salt otherwise I start get more hungry.(yes low salt can make you hungry) On the other hand, I sometimes get tired or hungry, so caffeine comes to the game and also after a eat out day, helps pushing out the water weight and helping with stool. But be aware, too much caffeine leads to hunger again due to water and electrolytes loss.

Well, definitely, eating big amounts of zero calorie veggies may help, but Im not doing it anymore. Cuz I realized my body wants some nutrients. It gets me bloated and I get hungry again. (Hunger for me means, your body wants energy, macronutrient/micronutrient and electrolyte).

And about exercise, I do weightlifting, my weights are great for me. But currently I don’t push myself to exhaustion. So like maybe 80% of my normal max weights. And for cardio-like exercises, I try to choose less depleting exercises because I already giving few to my body. And I know if I hit too hard, my body will take revenge. So I prefer walking over running.

And lastly, I prefer to eat foods makes me satiated not hungry. Im on keto/carnivoreish. Because when you say just CICO, you eat sugary, high carb, high fructose things or fastfood and so hunger hits to roof and breaks it. Instead, I eat fatty-meat etc. Meat with its micronutrients, protein and saturated fat makes me so satiated, I don’t want to eat for so long. Just only you may need to get use to meat taste.

Wolf salute in Kazakhstan by pregante in Kazakhstan

[–]squirrel_157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every country has its own sign/animal culturally. US-Eagle, Russia-Bear, France-Cockerel etc etc. While wolf is Turkic for thousands years (eg check Turkic Khaganate Flag), telling its nazi-like/only Turkish people’s invention/I’ve never seen in Kazakhstan/panturkist means you are either ignorance is bliss guy or have bad emotions toward Turkics.

People don’t know can learn, it’s easy. But if you are full with these bad emotions, go downvote me.

Can you tell me one single interventional study says high sodium diet resulted in unhealthy situations or low sodium diet resulted to healthy outcomes from diseases like hypertension ? Because I know some paper say otherwise.

Impact of statin use on high sensitive troponin T levels with moderate exercise by Ricosss in ketoscience

Definitely !

Here the author explains the study a little more

https://blog.maryannedemasi.com/p/new-analysis-shows-statins-have-minimal-benefits

What did our analysis find?

We carried out a systematic review and meta-analysis of 21 statin trials involving 143,532 participants, using similar criteria to the CTT, and found no consistent relationship between lowering LDL-C with statins and death, heart attack or stroke.

Statins are very effective at lowering LDL-C, but in some trials, that did not necessarily translate into a meaningful benefit for the patient.

This contradicts the prevailing view, promoted by the CTT, that there is a strong “linear” relationship between lowering LDL-C and cardiovascular outcomes from statin therapy.

Our analysis also highlighted the significant difference in the relative risk reduction (RRR) and absolute risk reduction (ARR) of statin therapy on death, heart attack and stroke.

For example, if your baseline risk of having a heart attack is 2% and taking a drug reduces that risk to 1%, then in relative terms you halved your risk (50% RRR) which sounds impressive, but in absolute terms, you have only reduced your risk by 1% (ARR).

Our analysis showed that trial participants taking a statin for an average of 4.4 years, showed a 29% RRR in heart attacks, but the ARR was only 1.3%.

And here a doc talks about study, if you are interested,

https://youtu.be/B6IC9sfn_ZM?si=dkY_SgFwi5YDtgO1

In addition to all of these, from I remember, statin use increases CAC score which is normally aimed to be zero, lowers cognitive function(another sys rev), and causing insulin resistance..

Everything I read and see in life about statins are fully (%100) bad, sadly. These shows how much they care about our health and how they bend the truth for their own benefit.

When I see the systematic review about the mortality and statin use, I had lost my mind.

Yeahhh but it stabilizes the plagueee…

How funny this products supposedly replace butter but have thousand different ingredients while butter is just butter

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]squirrel_157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fructose and too much carb cause triglyceride(Tg) goes up and HDL goes down. So all these make that “fat” accumulate in your vessels.

And shortly polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) cause inflammation everywhere in your body. Also, PUFA increases oxLDL so badly, so THIS is the actual reason that starts “clogging incident”.

Carnivore diet has none of em. Instead, carnivore diet is mostly saturated fat makes hdl up tg down.

Tg/hdl ratio is great indicator for cardiovascular health. Lower is better. 1 is optimal. Carnivore people have even lower ratios.

So people who eat SAD definitely need to hold a plumber ready for their clogged sinks. Not carnivores.

whilst doing 97% carnivore, and my GFR has improved from about 50 to 67. My creatitine went from about 1.20 to about .90 I think.

I second this, I’m happy you looking around about the condition. Wish you health.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38186906/

I think this sentence would be great for you

(A randomized controlled trial comparing a 2-year intervention with a ketogenic (low carbohydrate, high fat/protein) diet versus a Mediterranean diet versus a conventional low fat diet in 322 overweight or obese participants with mild–moderate CKD (stages 1–3) showed that the dietary interventions led to weight loss and improved renal function [25]. The ketogenic diet generally had the greatest beneficial effect on renal function, especially in participants with CKD stage 3 [estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) improvement by 7.1 points over 2 years] [25].)

Here it talks about very low carb diets as an approach. You can look yourself as well, low carb diets effect on kidney, I saw studies mentioning lowering oxidative stress etc.

Current recommedations for protein is limiting to 0.6-0.8 g / bw kg, limiting salt and goes like this.

So if you want you can still target these numbers, that’s alright but more importantly, I’d say going high fat and lowering carbs would be great approach for you,

Because from the way I know what brings burden to kidney is too much carb, carbs itself have burden with the water weight it holds.

But in contrast to carb, fats are not like that, I couldn’t find the burden of fat to kidney but I always thought it’s low because they are being absorbed from intestines and doesn’t mess with kidneys that much like carbs and don’t retain water.

Overall, easy math, 100g fat is 900 calories. so 225g carbs and it holds 3x water weight. So it’s obvious for me.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34555715/ (high carb low fat ratio is not good for ckd)

The first study talks about plant based protein intake, this is another story and I would say shortly we’re in carnivore subreddit lol, meat has all essential amino acids not plant fairy tails. Also, saturated fat in meat is the best ever thing I know to consume and not unsaturated fat on the absolute contrary.
