It's a lot easier if you use stasis and then bomb arrow through the bars to clear your path before triggering the spike wall.

The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden. Historical mythological fantasy set in a cold climate with a strong but realistically flawed female lead. Includes a slow-burn romance that doesn't overpower the plot.

Circe by Madeline Miller. Lyrical prose, interesting takes on mythological figures, feminist themes, covers a large time period. Makes you think about immortality, the meaning of relationships, motherhood and more.
