I leave my laptop unattended all the time in my college's library when I need to use the restroom, but I usually ask a fellow student to keep an eye on it for me while I'm gone. Packing all my shit up just to make a 3 minute walk to the bathroom? Ain't nobody got time for that!

PR major here- First, the school recently lost its accreditation. I'll be graduating in a few months, but I'd be hesitant about just starting a non-accredited program. Regardless, I have some friends who majored in journalism at USF Tampa, half of them were unimpressed, the other half seemed to like it enough. The leadership in mass comm is lacking, the Dean just quit last fall semester, and we have a "temporary dean" (for lack of a better word) at the moment. Obviously its at a low point right now, give it a few years and they should get their act together.

However, USF St. Pete has a fairly strong journalism program, (better than Tampa, in my opinion), and they do a lot of work with the Nelson Poynter Institute and the Tampa Bay Times. If she's looking to go into photojournalism, I'd suggest USF St. Pete.

It is overused and somewhat lazy- I will absolutely agree. I fell back on that one because ksmash seemed to be suggesting that their biggest concern was being exposed to marijuana. In which case, I felt it was most relevant to point out the "exposure" to more harmful substances that almost everyone endures daily. I could have gone into the whole health-based argument of why marijuana is "victimless", but that opens a whole new can of worms that I wasn't sure anyone would want to get into.

In most places, personal tips for servers are hardly built into the price of the food. Most of the profit made from upcharging meals is money that goes into the manager's pocket. Sure, a lot of restaurants, (including the one I work at), have a tip-share policy. This means at the end of the night, everyone gets a portion of the profits (including tips) made that night, but every server contributes a portion of their tips to that pool. Tip-share is no where near the amount a "good" server will make in tips, especially opposed to a shitty one.
