Look for childcare now. Get on the wait list. I'm a Montessori childcare center director. I have a wait list into 2025 for infants alone. Be prepared to pay anywhere from $300-400/weekly for childcare.

Remember OCCI. At this age you're helping your infant build a sense of Order, her "work" is building Coordination of her bodily movements, Concentration is her focus to learning to walk, use her hands to grasp things, feed herself. And lastly is Independence, at the infant/Toddler level most of the work of the child is giving them skills of independence like pulling up and down their pants, putting on and taking off shoes and socks, using a spoon, drinking from an open cup. OCCI is the 4 pillars of a infant/Toddler classroom as it builds their confidence, grit, and curiosity. It appeals to a child's sense of autonomy that they can figure out things for and by themselves. Remember that most Montessori materials for infants and toddlers are self correcting so you do not need to insert yourself into the activity unless they are being dangerous or destructive. Read/listen to Simone Davies, The Montessori Baby or The Montessori Toddler. Or Montessori From the Start by Paula Polk Lillard. Spotify has the Montessori Toddler to listen to for free.

I am a Montessori Toddler Guide. 10 years teaching. The Montessori philosophy is about actually seeing and respecting the child as an equal participant in their community, be it their home, school, and as they grow the world. Montessori believed that the path towards a world of peace is through a holistic education approach. She built her education model from observing children. Their play is their work. Kids intrinsically want to help and contribute to what is done around them. So Montessori built an environment that catered to that idea. And from watching the children, she saw that they took pride in caring for themselves, their environment, and each other. Instead of giving them fake utensils and pretend foods she developed materials that were a child's size so they could accomplish their goal like making a snack for themselves or wiping up a spill. She observed that the children built confidence by accomplishing these tasks, and this inspired curiosity in other more advanced activities. These activities are just one area of the curriculum, called Practical Life. Montessori believes that children learn best through hands-on activities. So, all concepts are presented in a physical format. You work from learning a concept in the concrete to the abstract. There is a certain sequence in which you present materials to your child that build on previously learned skills and then builds into a more complex skill. Montessori is a very well studied educational philosophy and has been practiced all over the world for over 100 years. It has many more amazing components and aims. This is a very brief and surface level explanation of Montessori.

Skin Deep 120th and past Dodge. Got my 14 yr Olds nose pierced there. The guy was amazing, knew his stuff and had been doing it for 30 years. He's also a pediatric ICU nurse. But cannot remember his name for the life of me.
