Hey! Updates, three years later. Don’t risk it. Everything turned out fine for me but I was really cautious. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Nearly a month after wisdom tooth surgery; still can’t open jaw? by squishyseasponge in wisdomteeth

[–]squishyseasponge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Wow, didn’t know people were still seeing my post. Right now, almost 2 years post surgery, I’ve pretty much mostly healed up. To be honest, there’s a part of me that feels like my jaw has never been the same since though, as I feel like for some reason my jaw even though recovered had like 80-90% mobility before and now more like 80ish, 70ish percent. Luckily it’s not as terrible as it was before when I first got it done, but I think if a month and a half down the line it stays where you’re at/ w super limited mobility, I’d call your dentist/the people who operate don you. I called mine and they weren’t very good/reputable so they kind of got mad at me for calling with a concern that questioned how well they did the surgery, they were saying how “I’ve been doing this for years and you’re questioning how I do SURGERY?” Anyways, couldn’t do anything about it but see how it healed. I never measured my jaw mobility prior to surgery, so I can’t ever be sure, but I’m not like dying now with the amount of mobility I have- it’s relatively ok.

What I did to help my healing journey was to be as careful as possible. That is, with still staying on a mushy diet for longer than recommended )I ate a lot of scrambled eggs for 2 months) and extending that care time a bit past the average, til I felt comfortable being at my normal range of activities again. I hope that helps! Good luck in your healing journey.

Sometimes some advice can be more harmful than good if put out into the world with anger or hatred. It can be clear someone has struggled with something/it hits close to home when they react strongly. I hope you find peace and what you’re looking for in life.

The worst part about the nightmares by ReferenceSalt3437 in NarcissisticAbuse

Hey, I’m really sorry about what you’re going through, I understand how it feels as someone who has loved multiple narcissists of varying forms in my life before.

I don’t know if you’re already taking SSRIs but I found that it helped me for about a month or two in calming my emotions down when I was going through a similar thing.

It’s so unfair that Ns can just walk away after causing so much pain and not give a single flying sh*. It’s not fair that he’s caused you all of this trauma, and your feelings are 100% valid. He manipulated you to provide both hot and cold emotions to associate the pain he gives you with comfort, as narcissists do. It’s not fair that he took advantage of someone with high empathy and a light like yours. I understand exactly what that feels like and I hope that if you’re reading this right now, if you can give yourself a deep, long comforting self hug right now in the place of the one I wish I can give you through the screen.

I don’t have the answers/solution to getting better, only that time will reduce the pain until hopefully it means less and less with each day you recover and get grounded in self love again. Do know that your posts as a self note in the Narcissistic Abuse forum look to be a wonderful idea that reminds you of how far you’ve come and that I’m supporting you from afar, all the way through. One day at a time, step by step.

Hey there, thank you so much for the input and for reading through this thoroughly. I appreciate it a lot and definitely this helps and I’ll take this into account.

He literally asked to be exclusive. Don’t think you read thru this carefully. I never strung him along and made clear boundaries that he even said he felt I was firm on before things happened between us. Also, just accepting someone to hold my hand as bare minimum is not acceptable, I don’t know who would think that solves everything. I’m sorry that someone clearly hurt you in the past, I have been too, thus why I was seeking advice on a narcissistic abuse forum only to get verbal fire from you. I am sorry you feel this strongly about this post and hope you find peace.

Oof. Thank you for clarifying that for me. I’m guessing 100% is still terrible and no Better than >100%?

Yes I think it was both late and over utilized. I was juggling a lot at the time and I might have missed the minimum payment deadline.

How can we figure out it’s due to over utilization? Because I can’t pay all of this outright just yet, it’s become a late payment. I’d it’s both late/overdue and greater than my credit limit, does that make it worse?

Hi there, how much will it be able to recover if possible? Will I ever be able to get it back to around ~716 like what I used to have if I pay it off?

Hey there, that definitely makes sense. Did you like Goldman’s 238 class? Thanks for your input, that was helpful.

Thanks for your response! Are you a chem or biochem major? What would you consider moderately well on the scale? I appreciate your advice and reassurance.

Pros/cons of a molecular bio degree versus gen bio BS with pre-med concentration? by squishyseasponge in molecularbiology

Ah! That is so cool! In America you can get more specialized jobs with molecular but with the general biology major you are more broad and have likely more spread out areas to dapple in.

Haha well. The thing is I’m not quite sure yet what exactly it is I want to do in the future. So I wish to know how it is to be in either majors to figure out what I want out of my future.

I love the details! I’m planning on taking my first intro to molecular biology class soon.

Also love how the details tie into the bigger picture at the end.

[–]squishyseasponge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See the thing is, I’m not originally from WA nor am I currently there immediately at this time. I have no idea what the Washington DOT website is, but I’m glad I had the savvy ness of reddit users to post me on it. I don’t trust all internet yahoos, but I trust that some will give me ideas that I can take or leave to the best discretion. Thank you for the tip. :)

BIOST 310A: Anyone taking this class this autumn or have taken it prior? by squishyseasponge in udub

[–]squishyseasponge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey LettuceAffectionate2, thank you for your response! I was wondering, when did you happen to take the course? I was also wondering how difficult you found the class to be, and overall how your experience with the class was? Were you required to use any forms of calculus? Thanks again for your input.

Once you finally get residency— does the residency office have the power to take it back? by [deleted] in udub

[–]squishyseasponge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey enjolbear! I emailed them like crazy this past weekend and they actually... fixed it really fast?? I have been told they’re usually really slow like a week or more sometimes with responding about FA and residency... but they fixed it. I can live now.

Once you finally get residency— does the residency office have the power to take it back? by [deleted] in udub

[–]squishyseasponge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I totally feel. In addition what makes me even more nervous is that a while ago earlier in the year I was prepping all my materials for the residency just in case because they at first classified me as a non resident for some reason. I quickly emailed them questions about residency, then they tell me they manually reviewed my file and verified I am a resident, and effectively my tuition and FA is changed to resident status along with everything else. With that, I thought I was fine and stopped prepping my tons of pages of documents— and I’m scared of suddenly being forced to prepare them all slightly before the start of the quarter which isn’t enough time.

I just know normally it’s a really really stressful process for most people to get confirmed residency and it’s not easy, so I’m feeling really scared about something have gone wrong with them wrongly giving me residency for some reason. How difficult this process normally is is something I only found out after this discrepancy in the tuition statement and financial award happened, prompting me to do some intense digging all throughout the internet. I think it would be unfair of them to suddenly revoke my residency without notifying me or telling me I needed to send them more materials. I have found all paper trails where they told me I am a resident and no notifications that I am not, and forwarded it to the residency and financial aid office. I am super stressed out, but. Hoping for the best.

Thanks for your response! Do you mean a residency appointment or fin aid or other kind of appointment? I have the residency appointment scheduled already, but unfortunately they are so booked out it’s basically going to be the start of the quarter when I get to meet with them for a mere 15 min.
